Excellent work from Vampire in the Imm
vs. Wing III Comp! The Immortal won this comp, and they're looking for ideas for
Wing III's new Motto and Nickname :)
I'm setting up a comp with Sadhe
Squadron, Wing V. We're working out the details right now, and this should start
next week sometime. Your illustrious Commander has been promoted to Captain!

:) Ok, now for the bad news: LT Jon Ardan was declared AWOL earlier
this week. After no contact for over a month, I had no choice...the irony is
that he was on irc this week, and he did send me an email...unfortunately a
little too late. I've been increasing my efforts to recruit pilots to Vampire.
I've hit the Cadet roster, the RSV roster, and been posting on the EH Message
boards. So far, little luck, and hopefully this will change.

News:
CPT Gutt is once again in the hospital.
I'd like everyone, regardless of their religion to toss a prayer in his
direction. I think it'll take divine intervention to get his stubborn butt to
listen to his doctors. Also, there's been more upgrades/updates to the Wing XI
Homepage...this site is shaping up well, and I think its one of the best Wing
pages i've seen. Congrats to all who worked so hard to make it that good.

At the moment, there are NO comps going
on...i'm working on changing that. Also, i'd like some feedback from you guys
regarding Vamprie's motto and nickname: should they be changed(possible small
comp for that), or keep them the way they are? Other than that, fly a battle or
two, post on the message board, and bug me in irc...always good to talk to you
guys :)

Thought:
If you guys find any pilots looking for
a good home, tell them about Vampire. Its been almost two months since I took
Command of this Squadron. Since that time, we've lost a few pilots, and had
excellent activity levels and communication. Its been an honor and a privilege
to serve as your Commander, and I hope we can move forward to even greater
things. I've been waiting to deliver a surprise to you guys, and was hoping it
would be this week...but we still have to wait. When that surprise arrives, know
that you guys deserve it :)
