Commander's Thoughts
I am extemely happy with our acitivity in the SCV competition so far. We are currently ranked 3rd as a squadron and that in my book is good work but dont give up yet. We still have 3 weeks left in this thing which leaves us plenty of time to catch up to the leader. Now it will not be an easy task but Hornet is totally capable of taking the lead and winning this thing. All we have to do is want it, then win it. I for one will do everything in my control to propel us as far as I can but in the end this is a TEAM competiton and it will take each of you to get the job done. So lets hear ya Hornet!!!!

XO's CORNER
To the few of you who have been working like mad so far, I salute you and drinks are on me (don't drink and fly though).  To the rest of you, you have already wasted alot of valuable time.  Let's get going here.  The other ships already have a sizable lead over the Van.  There's IWATS to do, MP, a run-on, and of course, tons of battles to fly.  I will be emailing you your assignments for the week shortly.
Please keep in mind that I have a strategy behind assigning these battles designed to maximize the number of points our squadron will be awarded during the SC.  Please take these assignments seriously.  I will adjust the assignments next week to reflect any citations we will earn but just know that a citation is worth 15 SCV points and could make a big difference in the end.

Squadron News:
-We now have 22 citations which is great increase for the week.  And for all the newer guys in the squad, we gain a citation for just about every battle you fly and I would love to see us break twenty again by next week so lets all fly a battle or two. --Our  XO Jer Stryker has issued assignments for the  week so do everything you can to do what he gives ya.
-The new Hornet messageboard is up and running and I have yet to see very many of our people posting to it so go check it out and lets hear you.  We have a brand new runon up on the message board so stop by and post to it and do be creative.
-Any member of this team that has 0 points comes the end of the comp will be officially Awol'd without delay. It only takes a minute to do something of point value so I expect something from everybody. Dont hinder the TEAM, be a part of it!!! 

Wing/Ship News:
-The Vanguard has fallen behind early in the SCV and that is not good.  So this is a general call to all hands on deck, get out there and fly and make her the rightful flagship of the ASF.
