Greetings, all. Yes, it's the same Plif, for those of you that remember. I left a few months ago to revisit my first squadron, then served for two months as SEC. Now, I've returned to Asp, with a little more experience, a better computer, and a few more ideas on how to do things.
For starters, I've already begun the Asp Ace competition. When two Asp pilots fly against each other, they report it to me. I'll keep an updated version of the standings and recognize the current Asp Ace in my Squadron Reports.
Second, we've got our own message board on TC.org, and I intend to use it. Abridged versions of my Squadron Reports will appear on it, as well as some of the usual squad news that'd usually be e-mail. I'll also be changing the board's appearance whenever the squadron's new Objective and Fighters are approved.
For this report, my first in this format, I'll explain how I'll be using each of the sections.
TIE Corps News
(Self-explanitory, really. The latest news from the subgroup as it applies to the Squadron)
- The COOA position is available. Mail the COO, AD Zsinj, if you wish to apply.
- The Command Attache to the Training Officer position is open. Mail the TO, HA Astatine, if you wish to apply.
- Supreme Squadron Series results for the Graphics and Trivia (COL Plif was the judge for that!) are in. Asp didn't participate, so... =P
ISD Intrepid and Wing XIV News
(Again, pretty much self-explanitory, except that it'll be all the Ship and Wing news, as opposed to just the stuff that applies to the Squadron)

Asp Squadron News

- LT Kaine promoted to Lieutenant Commander! Congrats!
- Again, the FCHG race with Wing IV. We can really help out, since most of you aren't even Grenadiers yet. Get flying!
- Asp Ace: Nobody, since no one's flown anyone else yet.
- FL, Flight II - Promotion recommendation is in the works, so we'll have a second FL soon.

Listen up! Here's how AWOLing will work here in Asp, so I suggest you pay attention, folks. Starting from when I send this report, if I don't hear from you (over e-mail, IRC, ICQ, AIM, etc.) at least once every three weeks, I'll be requesting that you be moved to the Reserves. If you're going on leave, I need to know that BEFORE you go! And just in case, make sure you turn on your Leave Status on your TC.org profile.
Commander's Goals
(These are something I've always done. Basically, they're a set of things I'd like each pilot to achieve, not only as an Asp pilot, but as a TC pilot continuing his career. As they become achieved, the goal is reset, this time even higher. In the parenthesis after the goal, a list of who has already reached it or needs to reach it is provided)
- All pilots achieve the rank of Grenadier in the FCHG (Done: LT Agace, LCM Kaine, COL Plif)
- All pilots recieve a Legion of Combat with Copper Simitar (Done: COL Plif)
- All pilots name their fighters (Unattainable, as we don't have fighters at the moment)
- All pilots achieve the rank of LT (Need SL TIEDawg)
- All pilots show CMDR that they know how to work with TIECorps.org (Done: COL Plif, LT Scopor)
- FLs take and pass the SM/2 exam
- FLs attain the FCHG rank of Lancer (Done: LCM Kaine)
- FLs recieve a Legion of Combat with Iridium Simitar
- CMDR attain the FCHG rank of Cavalier
- CMDR recieve a Legion of Combat with Platinum Simitars
