- Obviously, Ford is back from a pair of hellish 24-hour car rides. Ugh :-P On the plus side, he did eat an entire container of mashed potatos by himself this Thanksgiving. :-P
- The major news this week is the Squadron League play-offs. And Psi's failure to qualify.
All told, we had a 3/9 submission rate.

Ford's first response is to angrily rant. And, though he had several other responses, it still took him a while to restrain himself from angrily ranting. However, upon thinking it through, there really is nothing worth ranting about. Three pilots; Ford, Otter and Draegar flew the battle. Of the remaining six, one was AWOL, two were on leave, and another two either had problems with the mission or problems with TIE itself. Only one pilot - LT Pyle, failed to fly the mission without explanation.

This is extremely disappointing to Ford, as probably to the rest of you guys...especially those of you who worked your asses off for the first 14 Combat Runs to fall one thousand points short of qualifying.r รง
Congratulations to wing-mates Rho and Kappa, as well as Sigma, who all are in the next round of qualifying.
And...disappointing, maddening, and generally as pissed-off as we may be...there is always next year, and we better kick some ass then...
- Also, the results have come in for the intra-squad competition. Two submissions. Ford's not even going to say anything about this.
One Flight was victorious. Yay us.
Interestingly enough, Lieutenant Pyle was the only other pilot to submit a .tfr for this battle.
- On the bright side, we're expecting a new pilot! And a Flight Leader at that! Those of you who have been hanging about on IRC may have known this already, but former Psi member MAJ Sanj is coming back! Sanj was one of the oldskool members of Psi, and transferred out of the squadron to take a CMDR spot on the ISD Immortal just before Sasquatch advanced to Wing Commander and Ford assumed the reigns of command. Sanj will be joining us as Two Flight leader, and bringing his TIE skillz, web-page wizardry, and tailor shop :-P Welcome back, Sanjy! (when the transfer gets approved... :-P)
- Ladies and gentlemen, Ford is most pleased to announce this year's Psi Christmas Extravaganza! That's right, continuing on Psi's tradition of Christmas celebrations, we bring you this year's edition! The categories (pending Training Office approval):
Fiction:
Compose a Christmas and TC/Psi related fiction / poem / song-and-dance / haiku / what have you! For some inspiration, check out some of last year's entries at the Psi website, Library section (Inky's 'Christmas Capers' and Vlade's 'Psi Jingle Bells')...
Best submission receives an ISM!
Graphics:
Create a TC/Psi/Christmas related graphic / banner / movie! Obviously, this category will involve quite a bit of imagination, and Ford looks forward to seeing the submissions! Again, winner receives an ISM.
FCHG Race!
And they're out of the blocks! The third category is an FCHG race throughout November to see which Psi member can rack up the most FCHG points! By the end of the month, all points gained during the month will be tallied, and the pilot with the most receives an ISM! w00t!
And, finally, the classic TIE comp!
Psi is sure to have a great Christmas, but that doesn't mean the Rebels can too >:P Spoil their fun and festivities! Fly Free-TIE 94, 'Destroy Rebel Morale Event', before Dec. 25th and make sure the Rebs get some coal in their stockings! Highest-scoring pilot receives an ISM as well. (Note: Under the Santa Clause Manifesto, this has been officially labeled as a 'non-naughty act', so you'll have no fear of getting on the bad side of Santa's list. They're Rebels, after all!)
The deadline for all the categories, save the FCHG race, is Christmas Day, Dec. 25th! (FCHG race, of course, lasts until the end of the month). Good luck!

- CPT Onwai Starborne has been AWOLed from the rosters.
- MAJ Fondor has transferred out of Psi to Avenger Squadron.
- Psi webpage is in need of updating. Ford hopes to do this sometime during the week, and eventually, someday, get the Galleria section up. It *will* be cool when it finally works :-P

- Operation: Release the TIEs continues on, as Red Team was defeated in Lyarna and is outnumbered but still engaging in a series of skirmishes against Blue Team forces. Go Red Team! :-P
- Expect a major intra-wing comp coming in the future!

- The big, important news this week has quite obviously been the retirement of AD Sarriss and the appointment of AD Theodore as Flight Officer. Sarriss resigned due to sickness and other RL issues, and ex-CA:FO Theo was elevated to FO. Psi wishes it's best to Sarriss for a speedy and full recovery!
- Ford went to his first debate last night and foamed at the mouth.
- Ford also has tickets to the Big XII title game for which he will be leaving for later this afternoon. Hah! >:P
(Gooooooo Sooners! All pilots are hereby ordered to watch the game on their televisions! :-P)
- EH.org still hasn't been updated since the 6th of November..
- AbsoluteK is the new IO! Turtle was found to be AWOL, and everyone's favorite squadron.org manager has been elevated to the new positions! Yay, AbK!
- Sadly, AbK will be forced to move out of his college residence and T1 line, hence limiting his management for webservers..a free-for-all for hosting has emerged...sites currently hosted on his servers need to e-mail AbK requesting hosting in the future, as well as their account info.
- One of the most anticipate LA PC games, 'Obi-Wan', has been canned by LucasArts. Losers.
- On the bright side, the MMORPG that LA has been planning is further along in development...called 'Star Wars Galaxies', you can visit the website at, cleverly enough, http://www.starwarsgalaxies.com.
- WEHR stuff! RA Slicer has been appointed General Manager, and COL Devin of Omega Program Director. Check out new WEHR sessions at www.ehnet.org.
