Koph Report # 13 (2000-11-22)

This report was submitted by MAJ Firebird

Pilots of Koph Squadron:

First, the good news. We have 298 FCHG points at the time of writing
this report. I get off of work in 20 minutes and fully intend to go
home and fly two FREE-TIEs to bring the total up to 300. Plus, I have
tomorrow and Friday off from work, so over this four day weekend, I
should be able to finish several battles if all goes well.

Now, the bad news. Wing VI still has only 19 pilots. I talked to
Sarriss on IRC today and she had no idea what I was talking about when
I mentioned the cadet comp to her. She was in no mood to talk with me
at the time, so I didn't pursue it further. (Joe?)

We didn't get a whole lot done this week. We have to do better next
week. We've got exactly 7 days left in this competition, let's not
start slacking now.

As much as I would like to give the Koph Ace to someone other than
Iceman for a change, he's the only one who was active this week. I
realize that we all have real lives and there were some unavoidable
circumstances. My workload at my real job has increased, CPT Mauser
got sick, and Iceman had trouble finding the time to fly. All I'm
asking is that through the next week you all do your best to fly as
much as possible. The guys on the Intrepid have realized they are
being beaten by a single squadron over here, and they (according to VA
Pel) have launched into action. We must stop them from beating us.

Think of this competition as a recruiting effort. As it is right now,
nobody's heard of Wing VI. Our news doesn't make it into the IRC
meetings (except last week). If we beat the Intrepid, we will be able
to brag about it to the rest of the fleet. The recruits will hear
about it, and they will want to join us.

Finally, I would like to congratulate LT Place on submitting a battle this week :)

That will be all,
Major Firebird
