Uther rolled over and groaned. He suspected Hesken Fever, or some other similar malady.

No - what he mainly suspected was that the TCCOM was not going to be happy; he suspected further that throwing up on the TCCOM's boots would not be taken as a sign of respect.

He looked toward the door. How long had he kept the colonels waiting? Five minutes? Thirty?

'Ugh. At ease, gentlemen. And don't come any closer - whatever it is, you don't want it. Trust me on this.'

The other officers look relieved; the squadron commander grinned. 'We've kept things ticking over, chief. No need to worry.'

'That you have, Talon; my compliments to Colonel Corrin once again for single-handedly defeating an entire battle-group. Accidentally double-loaded with heavy rockets again?'

Dax grinned this time: 'Accidents do happen, boss, particularly to Rebel scum.'

'That's what we want to hear: just what the doctor ordered!'
