| What would go down in history as
'The Battle of Kammia' could more accurately have been described as a
massacre; though they had wiped out the enemy force entirely, they had
grossly underestimated the dedication of the enemy pilots and they had
taken a terrible toll on Stryker's Battlegroup - seven squadrons of
fighters, the Redemption, the Hermes, and two smaller vessels had been
destroyed. Kammia was theirs, but at what cost? News had reached the Battlegroup of forces from the Warrior engaging the Hammer at Bunduki, the world that was the lynchpin of the sector. Control Bunduki and you could strike anywhere, but also be struck from anywhere. Rumour had it that the Hammer battlegroup was larger, but that the Warrior's pilots were quite literally flying their equipment apart. It promised to be a bloodbath, one from which neither side would recover easily. Now with a massively depleted force, it was all Stryker could do to fortify Kammia and hope for the best; the Hammer would return, and their retribution promised to be swift and deadly. All he could hope was that the pilots were too worn out from battling the Warrior to be as effective as the previous defenders had been... |

Storm is here! This is the TIE Corps' annual wargame that pits
the three TC vessels against each other with very specific objectives.
The full rule pack can be found here. We
fought the Hammer last weekend, and emerged bloodied and humbled but
otherwise victorious. In that battle, which was a Holiday Weekend in the USA, Firebird Squadron accumulated 318 Multiplayer wins across PvP and PvE formats: that was almost half of the total Legions of Combat/Skirmish for the Challenge over the period from July 2nd to July 4th! To say I'm proud is an understatement, but we can't rest on our laurels as the Hammer and Warrior go to even greater extremes to grind Star Conflict for IS and make the people at Gaijin very happy indeed! We've had a personnel reshuffle; CM Turel has decided to stand aside as Flight Leader of Flight 2, and has been replaced by LT Nassin. Other pilots have also been moved around to better spready out the mix of experienced and inexperienced pilots in the unit. LT Taurus was awarded his Commendation of Bravery for achieving thirty multiplayer victories, well done! |

Firebird Squadron Echelon Guardian: Monthly competition to determine which Firebird pilot best honours the memory of the Infiltrator Wing with their performance and claims the honorary title of Echelon Guardian.
