| Ten
faces greeted Stryker as he entered the briefing room, most having
become familiar over the weeks since the Squadron had formed, but two
new faces attracted his attention. Colonel Ricaud had transferred from
Alpha Squadron as a new challenge, while Colonel NiksaVel had taken a
voluntary rank drop from the vaunted rank of Fleet Admiral to once
again serve in a line squadron of the Infiltrator Wing. Having a former
IWCOM as part of his squadron was a high honour, Stryker knew, but
would also put pressure on him that he hadn't expected. The one pilot here who didn't lose rank when Astatine merged the Infiltrator Wing and TIE Corps, but then the Chiss were always good at politics... Taking his place at the podium, Stryker began. 'Technical difficulties prevented our training session last night, though I am reliably informed that they have since been resolved; the training has been rescheduled for three days from now, at Ninteen Hundred Hours.' The rest of the briefing was fairly mundane stuff; maintenance schedules, performance reviews, and the like. Monthly Squadron Evaluations were also on the horizon, which meant that Stryker and his Flight Leaders would need to get together to determine who was worthy of praise and which pilots needed a little more...encouragement to hone their skills - so far, he was impressed with the momentum his pilots had gained, but there was a lot of work ahead to be done if they were to keep it. If things kept going well, they may well need to expand into a second Squadron before long... |

big welcome to Colonels Ricaud and NiksaVel; Ricaud has been a
regular on Star Wars Squadrons since release and comes to us from Alpha
Squadron, while NiksaVel returns from an extended stint in the Reserves
after serving as final IWCOM. You'll see I've modified the activity table; this is because tracking individual LoCs and LoSs was becoming a pain thanks to inaccuracies on the ATR, so instead I'll be chronicling the Multiplayer activity as a whole rather than the individual victories - we'll save that for MSE time! Finally, our bi-weekly Multiplayer sessions have been approved by the COO! This week's session will be Tuesday at 7pm Eastern-time thanks to the EA downtime last night, and the game will be Squadrons! More details in the Competitions section! |

Things have slowed down a little this week, which is to be expected as the hype around Squadrons calms down a little. That said, we're still going strong and with MSEs on the horizon, it's time to get that last-minute activity done before next Saturday! COL Stryker |
