COMM Report # 7 (2005-02-05)

AD JoeyC reporting in for the Communications Office - "Speak up, youngun!"

Hurrah! Promotion! Hurrah! Back to school! Understandably I'm confused by the mixed signals. But this hasn't distracted me from my COMM Officer duties. Something actually happened this week which delights me to no end. So on with the show!

COMM NEWS

- This week saw the formation of Idler Elite Squadron (IES for short). This is a show-no-mercy, ruthless, crack group of IRC masters who have chosen to give up their valuable idling time and use it for a good cause. The purpose of this squadron is simple - whenever the EH needs an IRC channel registered with X, we spring to action and provide our idling services - chatting, sitting on our arses, etc - until the job is done. Soon there will be a mailer form added to the COMM SITE which, if you feel you don't have enough current channel members to get X registered by yourself, you can fill out the form and IES will act.

- The EH Quote Archive now has a function which allows you to link to individual quotes, just like the Bash.org quote database allows. Archive is still at 26 pages. I want to see this increase even more! Get to making those quotes!

- I got promoted! Strange, isn't it. But I wasn't the only one. Congrats to the other Admirals:

Vladet Xavier
Frodo March
Gilad Pellaeon
Hobbie

Whee!

- If anyone needs moderator access on the Message Boards, or any Message Boards to be made, be sure to e-mail me at ehcomm@gmail.com I want to make sure I haven't left anyone out who wanted their access - have been a bit busy lately. :P

WEEKLY WINNER

Only ONE submission this week! Not good enough! I know you guys are funnier than that! In that case, the winner is...

Magnus Vader! With an entry I don't seem to have anymore. Oh well. :-P

Not a lot of stuff to report this week, am working on several things in the Corporate Division as CEO of Imgen, plus some thinking about the MoCs, and of course schoolwork. If you ever need to contact me about anything, my nick is generally `Leek.

Until next time!

Admiral Joey C - "I've always known that I'd be called Brunhilde eventually."
