Welcome to the 6th report. Having been away on leave in the nation's capital this week until Thursday, nothing much to report. However I didn't say there wasn't anything, so here we go..

COMM NEWS

- The EH Quote Archive is up to 24 pages now. Very well done, everyone. I still encourage all of you to submit quotes on the Quote site - http://comm.emperorshammer.net/quotes.html and to e-mail them to me at ehcomm@gmail.com to be considered for the weekly winner in the competition.

- RA Pickled Yoda is under investigation from the COMM office for cheating on his IRC hours. In my opinion it is not possible for someone to clock up so many hours. Since I cannot do it, I must assume that no-one else can, so he will suffer greatly for this.

- Events in the past few weeks have made me decide to wake up and do some self-motivated work. The following is a rough set of guidelines (note the use of the word guidelines :-P) for conduct in non-EH channels, something which has always been very technical.

CONDUCT OF EH MEMBERS IN NON-EH CHANNELS

This is a rather technical area. However I believe that the following rules and regulations do apply to this topic.

First off, a non-EH channel will be defined as "a channel which is run by EH members but in which official Emperor's Hammer business, e.g Wing/Battlegroup business does not take place". In other words, if the channel is just there for a bunch of people to talk about anything, but not specifically EH business, then it is not an official channel. Even so, the following must be remembered while using these channels.

1) "No Decor", but keep it within reason.

In a non-EH channel, you are just a regular user. In other words, rank and position do not apply. In addition, the IRC Codes of Conduct are not enforced in these channels. However remember that the Articles of War DO STILL APPLY. Incidents of members harassing other users in these channels will still be dealt with harshly.

2) Channel operators are still in charge

As in EH channels, the op's are in charge. In non-EH channels, what they do is final. If you have a problem with anything they do, take it up with them.

3) Other club members

If members of any other online gaming club come into a non-EH channel, then they must be aware of these rules. If they choose to ignore them, then that is their own fault, and are immediately responsible for whatever happens to them.
