Needless to say its been a pretty busy week for all of us on IRC, me especially. I've added the ringleaders of the RDB to dasb0t's permanent ban list (FireFox, Khyron, Jac Cotelin, Chi-Long/Faethor, Corran Force, Pyralis, Trevarus Caerick). With the former DB channel #DB in RDB hands, I have setup a new DB channel at #EHDB with dasb0t serving in place of X. All EH members are encouraged to go and talk in #EHDB and lend their support to our brothers/sisters in the DB who are going through a difficult time right now. Also, with many former DB channels in RDB hands, I have removed nearly all DB channels from the official EH channel list on the COMM website pending updates from the DB once a new GM is appointed. Regarding the EH forums, I have removed moderatorship from many forum users who have been causing problems with regards to the RDB issue. I would like for the EH membership to keep a keen eye out for rogue moderators in particular, but to also keep an eye out for users causing trouble in general on the boards as well. Please report all forum issues to me at io@absolutek.ca so that I may deal with them swiftly. IOA Alex Foley has prepared a new COMM office layout with original graphics. However, it will not be going live until the completion of the new COMM site software. The new site software will go live when I have completed the necessary MoC awarding coding for the forums. IOA Kweeky is also preparing a new COMM office layout (yes, the new COMM site will have themes!). I have talked with Ari about moving the Forum DB to my server to facilitate easier modifications, and he has agreed to preliminary testing. The forums will continue to be accessible via http://ehnet.org/mb/. I have setup a new EH eggdrop bot for use in EH channels other than the primary channels. This new bot is called "SilentOne" which some of you may remember as the name of the former stats bot I used to run back when I was CA:IO. SilentOne will serve any EH channel on a first come, first served basis. Applications for SilentOne to be added to EH channels should of course be sent to me at io@absolutek.ca. To avoid problems with excessive bans being accumulated in EH channels, me and Ronin have decided to only ban those RDB members who 1) break the CoC's or 2) cause problems. Please do not ban people just because they join EH channels!
