LO Report # 30 (2001-10-21)

This report was submitted by AD Ramos Kanzco

Well Well Well,

This has been quite the hectic and rather productive month if I may say so myself. The Logistics office has been rinsed, showered, scrubbed and washed away most of our rust, and now we are once again a rejuvinated office. Currently we have many projects in the works, most importantly the EH Timeline and the Imperial Archives ASP Database. Our common duties including polls, stats, memorium updates, NL submissions and so on are still going strong.  We welcome back VA goatham to the fold as our new LOA2. He will be conducting interviews with CS members, assisst VA Oldham in the IHS Workings, and also compose all of the Command Staff Histories by December 25th.  As we move into the days of winter and the dark and cold of the solstice, the LO will work 10 times as hard as we have before to bring you, the members of the EH, services, history, and most importantly fun.

Status Reports:

1. EH Newsletters: The EH Online Newsletter Archive has been updated with NLs 78 and 79. Both of these Newsletters offer some great articles that the Logistics Office staff has worked on to bring to you, the members of the EH, for your reading pleasure. To Download either of these NLs the URLs are:

NL 78 URL:
http://lo.minos.net/nl/hammer78.zip
NL 79 URL:
http://lo.minos.net/nl/hammer79.zip

Enjoy!

2. The EH Timeline project has not had an update to you EH members for a while. Since its spawning into an idea in August of 2001, many ' Behind the Scenes ' actions have been taken to make this idea reality.  The website has been finished, the plotline is concrete, and the mission plans are almost done. Now what we need, is you, the members of the EH to take part in this endeavor. We need mission creators to make the 180 missions nesacarry for this campaign. We need Fiction writers to script the stories and missions to be used for the campaign. We need organizers to help plot out the EH's destiny.  This project is being ran by myself and Colonel Blackbird of Typhoon Squadron.  Every subgroup will be involved in this, every member will be involved in this, one way or another.  I urge you email Blackbird @ avianic@hotmail.com and myself lo@emperorshammer.org for commentary on this. Ask questions, express your opinion, this is your story! your membership! your club!  Here is a little preview of what you may be seeing in the upcoming weeks...

.

The Empire had fallen. Nearly 5 years after the crushing defeat at Endor, the self-proclaimed New Republic had driven the Empire back to only 25% of known space. Coruscant, once the gem of Imperial power, had just fallen to their treachery and lies. The remnants of the Imperial Fleet lay scattered, vengeful yet weakened. With precious little resources and even fewer sources of manpower, it seemed as though their reign had ended for good.

A premature assumption at best. With numerous Imperial warlords still purely focused on military might while the New Republic turned their focus to diplomacy, a slight tilt in the favor of either side could turn the course of the tide completely and change the fate of the galaxy. All the Empire needed to retake their hold on the galaxy was one leader to reunite and lead them.

... and from the Unknown Regions, one arrived.

Well there you have it...a little preview from the Logistics Office.

3. The Logistics Office is now also taking applications for the Imperial Historical Society: Read further for details from VA Oldham....

History is an important part of any Organisation, from it we can learn from our past mistakes and also improve on our past successes. The Logistics Office Primary duty is EH history and we are currently looking for members to join it's Staff, under the Jurisdiction of the Imperial Historical Society.

The IHS, headed by myself, are in need of worthy candidates who will ideally be veterans of their respective ships or wings. Awards upto Silver or Gold star are available, for the right minded and hard working individual. Interviews, report collection, INPR's and searching through old newsletters are typical tasks.

Several teams are expected to be created. All information is welcome and a weekly update of your activities is required.

For more information and to sign up for this vital duty, Please Contact VA Oldham (oldie@praetorian.ca) and AD Ramos (magedon42@aol.com)
