Hello again from COMM-land. Once again a rather uneventful week, not counting my DSL acting up and kicking me off IRC for hours at a time. We are still working on a new system of MoC's with AbK, so be patient you jackals. >:P On a happy note, I'll be able to make tomorrow's meeting, because my work hours went back to normal. Now, for the one salient point of this report...

COMM OFFICE PUBLIC POLICY ADVISORY

It is the avowed policy of this office that drugs are bad, and they mess up your life. That having been said, it is illegal to discuss the use of any illegal narcotics in EH sanctioned chat rooms. This falls under Conduct Unbecoming of an Officer. The Commuications Office stance on drugs also extends into our policy on banned channels. If you are found to be in drug-use channels such as #crack-pipe or the like, you will be asked once to leave, if you fail to do so, you will be kicked, at which point you will have 60 seconds to leave the channel. If you once again fail to leave said channel, you will be banned for a period of time no shorter than one hour.

While this policy is not specifically expressed in the CoC's, the spirit of it is very much expressed in the CoC's. There is no place for such behavior in our channel. Even if drug use is legal in your area (ie, Amstaerdam), talking freely about drug use like it was no big deal shall not be tolerated any longer. I will be doing my darnedest to get this written into the official CoC's in the very near future. Very special thanks to CM Eridani for bringing this CoC oversight to my attention.
