COMM Report #18

Greetings once again from the COMM Office. This week slowed a bit from last week, but the inbox continues to pile-up with new emails. Some things to go over...

-Regarding MoC's... if you have over 100 posts on the EHMB, and have realized that you don't have an MoC on your tiecorps.org profile, it's because of a glitch in the tc.org database, which accidentally left out the Oak Cluster-less MoC's. You probably have them in our records, it's just that you'll hafta post up to the BoC to have tc.org recognize your medal.

-Now that the News page on the COMM Office site has been moved over to PHP, COL Osan`gar has begun to convert the logs page to PHP, which will allow our staff to keep the logs page updated much more easily.

-With the JJ case settling down, and the Coho/Kweek business sorted out, the CoC violations have begun to taper off in all EH IRC channels. However, I would like to remind people that if you are kicked and banned by DeathFyre for swearing, that ban is in effect for an hour. If you are caught evading that ban, you will summarily be banned 3 additional hours. Ban evasion is against the CoC's, and if you are caught evading ANY ban in an EH IRC channel, your punishment is non-negotiable.

-Also regarding CoC violations, if your quit message is judged to be vulgar, offensive, or otherwise in violation of CoC's, you will be warned verbally then asked to change the message. If you do not comply, you will receive a ban from all major EH IRC channels for no less than 2 days, no more than one week. The reason for this is because the bots display quit messages when doing !seen listings. The bots cannot get in trouble for swearing or being offensive when quoting a quit message, and it's likely that if the message is THAT offensive, certain elements will find it cute to make the bots say the line over and over. It's happened before, and I for one won't stand for it. This policy is effective immediately.

-AD Motti will be very busy next week studying for his four final exams. He will be available from time to time, but if you cannot get ahold of him, assume he is busy studying and send an email. All emails will be responded to within 24 hours.

Other than all that stuff, everything is kosher and on an even keel in COMM-land. That's all for this week. Thanks as always for reading!
