Well this week started slow and then my e-mail Inbox exploded. I know the holidays are a time when stress levels are higher than normal. Be smart and exercise some self-control while online. (and in RL too!). Every member in the EH, from Fleet Commander all the way down to the newest entry-level member, can benefit from taking a little time to relax this season. When you are relaxed, the tendency to explode at someone (by means of verbal attacks) lessens. Now I am not a therapist or a psychiatrist or anything, but calming and showing a little more self-control than usual is good for you and for all of the members. The pending investigations and complaints are on hold until the end of the year. In January I will pick up with cases going on. Of course, EH regulations remain in full effect through the end of this month. If there is an emergency situation that requires immediate action, I will work on such cases. I do not expect my staff to be given assignments until January, so I will handle 100% of it for the next week and a half. Something to note being discussed now is a change in the cheating policy in the EH. Anyone proven to have cheated by the High Court of Inquisitors will face punishment in his or her SubGroup personas (clones) as well. The punishment is very severe. Demotion to the lowest non-training rank, stripped of all medals in all SubGroups, banned from all high scores and from being able to get them. The second offense is expulsion. With these punishments, make sure you check with the Tactical Office and High Court of Inquisitors, and your SubGroup Commander to see what is considered cheating. The punishment here is FAR worse than the short-term benefit you get from a high score, winning a competition and/or medal. When sending complaints, know the chain of command for your SubGroup and use it appropriately. If this complaint can be handled in a smaller group within your SubGroup (TIE Corps included), then ask them to handle it. I cannot do my job effectively when I have a multitude of complaints coming in, and about 1/2 of them could have been handled from the SubGroup Commander, SubGroup Command Staff or other officers.
