Relatively
big week for the IO this week! First, our biggest news: The Internet
Office is finally proud to present after many delays, the trailer
to the upcoming Project Hawkeye II: Uprising. The trailer, completely
created digitally, is the product of hours of hard work by Leeson
and Ender mBind. You can view the trailer at http://hawkeye.ehnet.org/.
The trailer requires the DivX 5.02 codec, which you can download
at http://www.divx.com. Believe
me, it's worth the small effort!
Our
second big announcement is the completion of the brand new EH
Counter Service, coded by Alex Foley. This service provides
you with up to 5 counters for your website, which doesn't require
any extra code other than a simple IMG tag. This is a useful service
for everybody in the EH who runs an EH site. If you'd like to
volunteer to make more counter samples, please feel free to e-mail
the Internet Office.
Sites
are still being created for Hawkeye II. Once we pass the point
of having about 75% of the sites done, we will open up the Qualification
Test to the public, and 2 weeks after that will begin the actual
competition.
Leeson
has found 3 new security patches for those people running Windows
2000 or XP, please check out the article on ehnet.org for details.
Some
of you could not access the EH Images Archive this week because
AbsoluteK moved domains, and now hosts it off http://www.absolutek.ca/ia/.
The EHNet redirect (http://www.ehnet.org/ia/) has been updated
to reflect this.
