Security Office News

A bit more quiet this past week despite some silly people sneaking into EH channels. You'd think people would be able to let go of an internet gaming club, but alas! Some people just don't seem to grow up. Oh well, people like this are the type who shine my shoes, and ask if I'd like paper or plastic for my groceries. Suits me just fine.

I will be going on an official Leave of Absence starting Wednesday the 16th and will be back no later than the 20th (Sunday). During my absence all urgent matters may be brought to the attention of the Fleet Commander. Trivial IRC matters can be sent to the Communications Officer. This really isn't a time to misbehave just so you know ... anything stupid that goes on during my absence will result in more harsh punishments. You have been warned.

Security Office Tasks

-Internet security matters.
The latest virus threats can be found online here (opens a new window). It also provides documents on new computer threats, fixes, and other useful information.

-Faster timeframe for issues to be resolved, brought to the HCI, etc.
Gathering evidence for a potential case (or two).

-Revise Articles of War and Bylaws in consultation with relevant parties.

Revision of the Fleet Bylaws: SUSPENDED
