Another quiet week with virtually no incidents. I take this as a good sign, so keep it up. Remember, just because the HCI is gone doesn't mean that you won't be punished for whatever crimes you commit.

Just a simple reminder of language. While I don't get bent out of shape by the casual expletive every now and then, I do mind when they start getting excessive and turned towards other members; this will not be tolerated at all. I will hand out lengthy IRC bans to anyone caught doing this immediatly - this is your warning.

When contacting me please use the methods described below. I am going to start ignoring e-mails that go to the wrong inbox so you better send your mail to the right address, which is provided below.

Security Office Tasks

-Internet security matters.
The latest virus threats can be found online here (opens a new window). It also provides documents on new computer threats, fixes, and other useful information. Still trying to incorporate an easy to use alert box into this report, but all the ways I've tried look ugly.

-Faster timeframe for issues to be resolved, brought to the HCI, etc.
All's quiet in the fleet.

-Revise Articles of War and Bylaws in consultation with relevant parties.
