Role Playinging Basics: Character Creation
COL Yoda this week expressed an interest in Role Playing taking place. Well, in Dungeons and Dragons, you can roll dice to get a full character background. If it works for them, it works for us, right?
Get out a six sided dice and role for each attribute of your character. You'll have a full background story in no time!
First Roll - Background:
1: Your parents were killed by Rebels, and hence in bitter rage you vowed revenge on the Rebels.
2: You were a Rebel, but they killed your parents, so you defected.
3: You cleaned up corpses on the Executor. When no one was looking, you posted a promotion for yourself supposedly from Lord Vader. No one questioned this, and your career took off.
4: All your friends were killed by Rebels, who then killed your parents. In a fit of anger, you vowed retribution on the Rebels.
5: You were the "Feet of Thrawn", responsible for stepping over people in the chain of command and stepping on people that Thrawn didn't like.

Letters from the Cardinal...
Changes in the Original Trilogy on DVD:
1. The Ewoks will now be known as the "Free Peoples of Middle Endor".
2. Jar Jar Binks and other bland Gungans will replace Luke Skywalker as the main hero of the stories.
3. Palpatine's dying words will be, "Roooooseeeebuddd!"
4. Vader will have a pink lightsaber to indicate to younger audiences that he really is on the side of good. He's just a "pretend villain".
5. Darth Maul will replace Vader for the "I am your father" scene.
6. Palpatine will frequently make the Rebels "offers they can't refuse".
7. Mickey the Mouse will be on the Jedi Council to honor the late Walt Disney.
8. Indiana Jones will destroy the Death Star instead of Luke.
9. Luke will face the problems of modern youngsters: tutition hikes, trying to fit in, etc.
10. Emperor Palpatine will just be a front for the true ruler of the Empire - The Wizard of Oz!
News
- Khadgar is back from his leave. And there was much rejoicing? Wishful thinking? I think so.
- I have everything I need to pick the Legate and related titles. To create some artificial suspense, I'll announce it at the TIE Corps meeting!
- Aggressor submissions! Graphics, fictions, articles, columns! I still need your help! There's medals in it, pretty please with sugar on top and a cherry?
- The Predator's going all out. She's got a mission statement, and Echo Company is up and running! Many new CMDRs have been appointed: Chistu of Eagle, Pixie of Wolf, Kayle of Panther, Keller of Wampa, Chrissy of Tiger. Congratulations to all!
- The Executive Office has extended its competitions until the end of August.
- The Summer Patrol continues. Check the Message Boards for updates and make sure you're on the "in" list if you should be!
- The Tactical Office released new XvT missions and a battle.
- Lastly, the Flight Office put an interesting precedent about the rank of General (especially how to retain it) on the TIE Corps news. Read it if interested.

Battlegroup Commander's Office
The Predator has been a topic of interest in the ASF lately. There's been a lot of interested generated over it, and quite a few people have signed up (including some Command Staff level officers). I hope all of our new recruits and clones enjoy their stay in the ASF!
It looks as though things went pretty smoothly on my leave. Thanks to everyone for keeping everything going.
