TIE Corps Battlegroups Report...

Submitted by Battlegroup Commander, AD Mell Kerrigan...

On the 18 August 2004.

Greeting readers, Welcome to the Month end report for July. Quite a few changes, some good, some not so good. Read on to see what sort of month we had

BG News

TCBG General News

July was once again another turbulent month which saw me relieved of command of the Battlegroup for something like 98 minutes. As a result of this VA BubbaX has left the Relentless and now serves on the Intrepid. Any aspiring BGCOM’s to be, this seat has my name on it for some time J

New Motto and Nickname were pledged to me by The newly promoted CPT Thomax Drachen the winner in both categories earning himself TWO IS-GR’s, with Runner-Up position going to LC Tiger bagging him TWO IS-SR’s and 3rd to LT Kadon Beir earning him TWO IS-BR’s.
This competition was relatively easy, and to say that the turnout was not even 10% of the BG, poor is too light a word.

New Caption Competition is underway. All details are on the TCBG Network here: http://www.tcbg.net/main.php/complist

Again a very simple and humourous competition with an extended deadline. GO AND SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY NOW!!!!!
Look out for August’s Caption comp coming soon!

The Grand Admiral celebrates his Birthday on 21st August and to commemorate this occasion Commendations of Loyalty are awarded.
Each ship has three (3)
CoL’s it can reward people with and I have another three (3) to personally award. Please can the flags start making considerations prior to the actual request from OPS.

The Col

RA Gunman was elevated to Vice Admiral after his unquestionable service to the ship and its development. I’m happy to say that I have no issues with how the ship is now as to how it was when I rejoined as BGCOM. It had most definitely seen better days J
MAJ Angel did not work out as WC and a switch occurred with MAJ Curtis. Whilst Angel didn’t work out in Gunman’s eyes his admin work was spot on and I have promoted him to Lieutenant Colonel.
MAJ Kayle Bayron has shifted his career in the direction of Freeworlds and transferred to the ISD Predator. We’ll miss you Kayle but we’re safe in the knowledge that our wallets will have much more credits in them now.
J
Welcome to new pilots M and Daniel Russell who have both already gained the rank of LT! excellent work you two!

The Rel

As already mentioned BubbaX has move on and this paved the way for LC Oakenshield to take the reigns of the Relentless, MAJ La’an received a just promotion to Wing Commander after proving time and again he was capable with several stints as A-WC.
More pilot transfers to the Predator left a sour taste in our mouths especially with one taking place without approval of the TCBG Flags. Words have been exchanged and the Flight Officer is looking into this.
With the recent departures this has left the Relentless weakened however MAJ La’an, dedicated to the ship’s overall improvement took the initiative to close Sword and bolster the remaining squadrons, backed by RA Oakenshield with an well thought out Recruitment plan. Good Luck guys.

The Chal

Activity on the Chal is sporadic. Thunder being the rock of the ship with good membership, good overall activity and great communication, they still perform as the model squadron. COL Torres is still battling it out flooding my inbox with BSF’s and Typhoon showing good overall activity.
COL Katarn has been forced to resign due to RL Commitments and I have promoted LCM Biggs Darklighter (now CM Alexander Anderson) who is looking promising already with a clear cut action plan for the squadron.
Activity as a wing is not looking so good. This is being addressed by RA Setzer and COL Kelso. Let’s see some wing comps

The login system is ELS (same as the messageboards) so, if you have difficulties with access, contact me or RA Oakenshield an email and we’ll look into this. Please include your ELS Handle too.

BG Awards For July 2004

Squadron of the Month: Hammer Squadron (ISD Relentless) Hammer squadron is the ones leading the way this month. Overall activity is consistent across the boarding varying forms from IRC to flying and good communication. Hammer also managed to participate in every ship competition going on right now! If everyship had squadrons like hammer you’d never take the smile off my face :D

Pilot of the Month – MAJ Mosh (Hammer, ISD Relentless) Major Mosh has set an example for all of the Battlegroup.  His constant activity and flying, participation in competitions, and his abilities as a leader make Mosh a perfect addition to the Battlegroup.  He recently took the top title in the Relentless' Wing Commander's Challenge, defeating all of the other pilots on the ship.

Squadron Commander of the Month: CM Andrelious J Inahj (Nu, ISD Colossus)

CM Andrelious took over Nu after Aidan left the position to continue his career elsewhere. The squadron was in dire need of some TLC and it got just that. Nu has bounced up to 8 members after some great recruitment and good old fashioned elbow grease that left me reminiscing of when I got BGCOM’s CMDR of the month award after my forst 3 weks in command of Cyclone. A true testament to  what the TCBG is all about. Well done Andrelious, maintain the level of excellent work!

Congratulations to all!

Well that wraps up this BG Report Things are on the up, let's keep up the extremely good work!
