Battlegroup News

I will begin my medical leave effective of midday 19 September. Thorin and Gunman will be in command of the BG at this time. They both will have my command authority in all areas except removal of staff (meaning they both have to agree or disagree for a situation to be resolved). If a problem occurs that neither can agree on it will be passed to the FO for a final decision.

This week saw the automation of the Monthly Squadron Evaluation. We used this system back when I was Colossus COM some 3 (gasp, that long?!?) years ago and it worked very well. Battlegroup Directive now in place that ALL Commanders MUST use the MSE generator effective of September MSE’s!

If you encounter any problems in relation to using the form then please email me directly.

Relentless News

Sword Squadron was closed. It was a sad decision, but Thorin and Jarek decided three strong squadrons are better then four weak ones. Sword will be the first to reopen when the time comes.

WC/MAJ Laan reached the half way point of his initial probation today, and was evaluated by myself. In 2 more weeks, Thorin will decide if he will become a full WC, continue on probation, or be replaced.

The biggest news of the week, Lieutenent Gaucho was executed last week for being an illegal clone of Darknyte! Big Surprise for all of us, and a sad loss of an active pilot.

LC Tiger, and Major's Mosh and Laan all recieved honors as well, Tiger was awarded the Silver Star, and Mosh and Laan Bronze Stars! Congrats to them!

Finally Shield CMDR has been removed by Thorin. A replacement will be sought shortly.

Challenge News

RA Stuart is now COM following RA Locke’s removal. I have since spoken to Locke and he agrees and understands the reason for removal.

Wing competition: What to do with the empty room?  http://www.ehtiecorps.org/competitions/details.asp?ID=1427

Stuart has set about getting the ship brought up to date by setting up mailing lists for ship and squadrons.

And Will Wild Bill Kelso please wake up and get to work with Stuart, the time to rebuild the ship is at hand and you’re going to be riding the crest of the wave!

Final Words

It’s been a really turbulent year with all the flag changes though I am not sorry that this has been done. The Flag Staff now is possibly the most active this BG has had since my departure 2 years ago as BGCOM. All the flags need to learn now that they have to work together and put any differences aside for the best interests of the BG. We are the best, we know we’re the best, so let’s start acting like the best. I want to see more competition participation across the board; I want to see a good amount of people getting geared up for Imp Storm and ECR. This is our time and we will step up and show that we are TCBG and that we will rise up to any challenge thrown at us. Sometimes we do what we want to do, the rest of the time we do what we have to
