Pilot's Lounge
Captain Surrslug took something from his pocket and put it on one of the flight simulators.
He did the same on the Vanguard, and then on the Intrepid.
Shortly after on the Intrepid, CrimsonFury and Predator came into the room.
A mesmerizing low voice came on in the room, "You must join the Rebellion... The Rebellion..."
Captain Surrslug came back into the room.
"Now, Commander, Flight Leader, you must join us! I will offer you the Medal of Great Value of Corellia (MGVC) if you join!"
"We must join... The Rebellion..."
"That's it!"
Surrslug keyed a communication device.
"Drakeson, the pilots are coming over in droves!"
"Excellent, Surrslug. Mark two more Medals of Dubious Recruitment (MDRs) for the Captain," he said, chuckling.
"How are we going to keep these pilots?" Gilad said, walking along.
Khadgar walked along, and suddenly tripped.
It turns out that in fact he tripped over a chord, unplugging it.
"No, Khadgar, no!"
"What is it Surrslug?"
"You've deactivated the main mind control unit, but you won't be so lucky next time!"
"Surrslug!"
"Admiral, I am very sorry, but they foiled us again."
"Take away the Medals of Dubious Recruitment (MDR) and the Mothma Commedation of Great Greatness (MCGG)."
"Sir, this is horrid, I will do better next time!"
"Certainly, Surrslug, we can't fire you. This is the Rebellion, after all, we'd need to go through five committees before we could even consider not letting you continue."
Letters from the Cardinal...
"Loot! Pillage! Most importantly, get me the Cardinal!" Zanatar said.
"Yes sir!"
"Excellent," Zanatar said, "Now instead of having an old fool writing weekly columns. You'll have, a young fool writing weekly columns!"
Zanatar chuckled.
"Not so fast, Zanatar!" Khadgar said.
"Hey, aren't you on leave..."
"Quiet!" Khadgar said.
"There's only room in the market for one fool that writes weekly columns, Zanatar!"
Zanatar hurled a styrofoam boulder at Khadgar, knocking him down.
Khadgar fired a digitally editted in beam from his gold staff, hitting Zanatar.
Zanatar floated through the air carried by digitally edited out wires, kicking Khadgar lightly in the chest, knocking him down.
"Wait!" Khadgar said.
"What is it, you fool?" Zanatar said.
"I'm the editor, I can simply write you out."
"No! That's not fair! KHADGAR!"
Khadgar took up his quill, dipped it in ink and scratched out some lines on his report on parchment.
Zanatar slowly faded into nothing.
"I'll be back, Khadgar, you'll need a poorly written token character again!" Zanatar said.
News
- "Sorry, I can't do that, pilots". The database has gone down! Argh!
- RA Daniel Goad retired as Vanguard COM due to computer problems. A new COM will be in place once the database is back up.
- Medals will be awarded once the database is back up.
- Weekly Multiplayer competitions are still on. The Wolf's Howl had some success. I expect more people will be coming next time now that they have seen it in action!

Yes, the database is down. Please remain active and patient during this period.
Competitions, including weekly Multiplayer competitions will continue, just with medals awarded when the database is back.
Admittedly the recruitment competition will be more difficult this month. This is unfortunate, because without the database, it is difficult to mail CTs and RSVists. You'll just have to wait on this one.
The Legate will continue on. I plan to send a separate mail with suggestions as to how to continue flying battles. Please apply for any open CMDR spots as you normally would. If you lack a CMDR, contact your WC. If you have any concerns, please contact me.
