Battlegroups Report 12

Greetings and welcome to a new edition of the Battlegroups report! This is another short report, but there is much going on behind the scenes.

NEWS FROM THE BGS

During the crush to get out last week’s report, I accidentally omitted a promotion report. Congratulations go out to General Drake, WC of Wing IX, ISD Relentless!

More medals have been awarded. Check out the MB for the latest.

The position of RelCOM has been closed for applications. Expect an announcement regarding this soon. We didn’t have that many applicants this time around, and some of them failed to read the qualifications as announced on the TC News page.

Most of the Wings are engaged in some kind of competition, and Tau Squadron has extended a MP challenge to any interested Squadrons. COMs and WCs are encouraged to contact me if they have any questions.

On a sadder note, the HCI has opened proceedings against two of our own. Hopefully the situation will be resolved quickly.

STANDING ORDERS AND PROCEDURES

There is still some confusion regarding the new award standards for medals. In an effort to solve this, I’m working on developing some standard guidelines for BG ships to use. In the interest of fairness it seems to be the best way to go. Stay tuned for more details. This is a step I didn’t want to take, but it looks like it will be the best way to ensure that our pilots are being rewarded equally and fairly for all their accomplishments.

RANT FROM THE RANKS

I’ll take the silence on this front as being all happiness and light in the wonderful world of the BGs.
