Training Office Vacancies

There are currently three (3) vacancies in the Training Office, all posts as a Professor. There are many lucrative benefits to serving as a the Professor of a Course, but any potential applicants should be aware of the responsibilities that accompany the position, these include (but are not limited to):

Keeping accurate Graduate Counts (total and per month).

Maintaining/updating the Course Notes.

Grading Course Tests promptly.

JavaScript (JS) Professor Open for Applications

Following the resignation of Commander Alex Foley from the position of JS Professor, the position is now open for applications. The requirements are:

An active member of the Emperor’s Hammer.
Holding at least the rank of Lieutenant (or equivalent).
Extensive knowledge of JavaScript.
Be willing to grade exam submissions within 24 hours.
Applications should be sent to me (to@emperorshammer.org) with the subject “JS Prof Application”. Due to the nature of the position, there is no closing date for applications; they will remain open until such time as a relevantly competent individual is found.

Flash (FLA) Professor Open for Applications

Following the resignation of Commander Alex Foley from the position of FLA Professor, the position is now open for applications. The requirements are:

An active member of the Emperor’s Hammer.
Holding at least the rank of Lieutenant (or equivalent).
Extensive knowledge of the design and implementation of Flash animations and (preferably) the latest version of Macromedia Flash (MX).
Be willing to grade exam submissions within 24 hours.
Applications should be sent to me (to@emperorshammer.org) with the subject “FLA Prof Application”. Due to the nature of the position, there is no closing date for applications; they will remain open until such time as a relevantly competent individual is found.

Eggdrop (BOT) Professor Open for Applications

Following the resignation of Vice Admiral Sarin from the position of AIM Professor, the position is now open for applications. The requirements are:

An active member of the Emperor’s Hammer.
Holding at least the rank of Lieutenant (or equivalent).
Extensive knowledge of the creation and management of Eggdrop bots.
Be willing to grade exam submissions within 24 hours.
[Optional –Desired] Currently hosting an Eggdrop bot.
Applications should be sent to me (to@emperorshammer.org) with the subject “BOT Prof Application”. Due to the nature of the position, there is no closing date for applications; they will remain open until such time as a relevantly competent individual is found.

Flight Office Assistant Required

Following Kalar's promotion to RelCOM, I'm once again in search of a Flight Office Assistant. The duties of the FOA will include:

Moderating the TIE Corps Message board and Training Board
Keeping track of weekly reports and TIE Corps homepages
And anything else I can think of
Potential applicants should be able to meet the following requirements:

Membership in the TIE Corps for no less than three months
The rank of Lieutenant Commander or above
A good working knowledge of all TIE Corps protocols, the Articles of War and Codes of Conduct
A regular presence on the message boards and prompt email turnover
Command experience is not a requirement, and I'm especially keen on appointing someone with no other commitments to leech away FOAing time (other than their regular TC position). Applications should be sent to Spellfire@btinternet.com with the subject "Make me FOA!" by next Friday at the latest. If you wish, you may include the name of one superior to act as a referee. The new FOA will then be decided by the TC meeting on Sunday.


Subjugator COM Retires

Unfortunately, due to increasing RL contraints, Rear Admiral Chamberlain has retired as Commodore of the ISD Subjugator in the ATF. The Flight Office thanks him for his work as COM all these past months.

For the time being applications are NOT being accepted - do not send them.

Flag Officer Appointments

As was announced at last night's TIE Corps meeting (why weren't you there?), there are two new Flag Officers in the TIE Corps:

Congratulations to Major Thom Zack who has taken over as the new Wing Commander for Wing XIX on the SSD Avenger. He comes highly recommended and should continue to be a fine Officer.

Also congratulations to Rear Admiral Jahan Kalar, who has been appointed as Commodore of the ISD Relentless. Around a dozen applications were received, with several highly qualified candidates. Kalar stood out with his previous extensive experience as both Wing Commander and Flight Office Assistant. Myself and VA Krax are confident that he will prove to be the right choice.

I will now need a new FOA, but DO NOT send me any emails about this yet. I'll post some requirements shortly.
