Battlegroups Report 15

[taps the com button] Testing…testing…is this thing on? Greetings! Welcome to yet another edition of the Battlegroups Report! Lots going on this week, so let’s get right to it.

NEWS FROM THE BGS

We have a new ChalCOM! Please join me in welcoming RA Charles Spencer to the BGs! He’s fresh off the shuttle from the ATF, and all that Dark Brotherhood cash should be good for a round of drinks (or ten).

Activity in the BGs remains good, although things to seem to be slowing down a bit. The Colossus has started a large and wide-ranging competition, and the Relentless is as usual in the midst of a number of comps.

As reported in earlier BG Reports, pirate activity has been steadily rising along the edges of our patrol area. BG Intel has confirmed the presence of a number of pirate groups, all equipped with the usual mish-mash of surplus equipment and varying levels of skill. But a wise commander does not underestimate the skill of his adversaries. As a result Provisional Battlegroup II (Relentless and Immortal) have been moved closer to the border regions and placed on Condition One alert. VA RogueWing has been called back to the BGs Flagship for consultations, leaving VA Kalar in temporary command of PGB II. All Squadrons in both Wings are hereby placed on the highest state of alert. The next pirate attack will be met with heavy Imperial force.

STANDING ORDERS AND PROCEDURES

Nothing to add here this week. I am planning on bringing the Tactics section back to this report in light of increasing pirate activity along the borders. For a refresher of past subjects covered, refer to the report archive on the TC database.

There may, however, be a BG SOP developed in the near future. If this does occur, Commodores will be included in the process, and input from other ranks will be solicited as needed. Watch this space for more information.

RANT FROM THE RANKS

Some of you have contacted me privately with concerns and comments. That’s great! As you’ve learned, I do not ignore or dismiss questions from the ranks, no matter what they concern.
