-He's Still Here?!-
This week my third month as ATF BGCOM drew to a close. It's amazing how quickly the time has flown, it feels like I've only been in the job for a couple of weeks! I'd like to seize this opportunity to go all mushy for a second, and say how immensely I've enjoyed the past few months. We've bounced back from a comatose state to become an active battlegroup again, taking on other parts of the TC in competitions and reviving the near-dead BGCOM's Judgment to become a greatly contested honour among the three wings. We've increased in number from an anemic 80something to a very healthy 100something. I am very proud of all the pilots and commanding officers who've helped resurrect the ATF, and I thoroughly enjoy working with you all. Here's to 3 months more, and another 3 after that!

-Butcher CMDR Vacancy-

-Raptor CMDR-
Congratulations to CM Dierdre Varn, the new Raptor CMDR on the ISD Subjugator! 

-Illegal Recruitment-
The FO is very concerned about the amount of illegal recruitment going on with Daedalus Cadets being spammed by people offering positions in their units. Let's be very clear on this point: you are allowed to email cadets with general offers of assistance (helping them with their training, helping them to get their bearings on IRC and the message boards, etc), but you are not allowed to email cadets inviting them to join your squadron/wing. The rule cannot be put any simpler than this (well, it can: DON'T ATTEMPT TO RECRUIT CADETS! :P), so I do not want to have any more complaints from the FO about people under my command engaging in illegal recruitment.  

-FC's Birthday Awards -
Yes, it's that time of year again. GA Ronin's birthday is on August 21st, and that means that Commendations of Loyalty are handed out to those officers who have proven themselves throughout the year (incidentally, my birthday also falls in August, but no-one cares about that). The process is as follows:

- CMDRs make as many recommendations from their squad for deserving pilots as they see fit, to their WCs
- WCs choose three deserving pilots from among these recommendations, and send these to the COM/BGCOM for scrutiny
- BGCOMs forward the final list to the OPS/FO, along with their own recommendations (BGCOMs can award up to 3 CoLs for flag staff)

The final lists need to be sent to the OPS by August 19th, so while there is no great rush, CMDRs should start considering their recommendations now. 

Competitions

-BGCOM's Judgment-
The BJ site has been updated, and is located as always at http://bj.tiecorps.net. The battles used this month are:

Both the graphics and fiction categories this month revolve around the day-to-day operations of your squadron/wing/ship in combating the Rebel scum. Write/create a story/image about a battle, mission, ambush, or any military type operation your unit may have been involved in.   

-Wing XVIII: "A Narrow Victory"-

-Wing XX Monthly Challenge-
Single and multiplayer competition wherein individual Wing XX pilots challenge opponents to an SP/MP duel and winners are determined by ladder format. Details at http://www.emperorshammer.net/competitions/details.asp?ID=575. (Ends July 31st, resets August 1st)

-Wing XX vs Wing X: 'Who Is The True X?' -

-Wing XIX: Recruitment Competition-

-Rat Pack vs ATF Flag Officers-
