This week saw the resignation of no doubt the finest Executive officer of the Emperor's hammer we have ever had...

Resignation as XO
23:06 - SA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com]
Effective immedately, Sector Admiral Kawolski has resigned as Executive Officer and is offically retiring from the Emperor's Hammer. Sector Admiral Astatine is now the new Executive Officer. For more information, visit: http://www.kawolski.com

and from the above link...

<SALUTE>

The will most likely be the last time I address the fleet in this matter. As many of you may have been aware, there has been an extremely sharp decline in my activity and response time in the past month. I have to confess that I no longer have had the time nor will to continue or fulfill my duties as Executive Officer and have been planning my retirement plans and working out key issues over that period of time.

My reasons for leaving are simple: lack of time and interest. Over the last month, my workload in my real life job has increased tenfold. What free time I do have has diminished sharply after deciding to return to university. Instead of taking up space and being inactive, I have chosen to finally retire from the Emperor's Hammer in its entirety and move on with my life. This time, I don't have an interest in future positions. GA Ronin has asked me to stay on as Fleet Systems Engineer temporarily until I finish moving stuff off my server.

Taking my place will be the Training Officer, HA Astatine (jpboyce@indigo.net.au). He has been a member of this club for many years and I'm sure he'll make an excellent replacement. The TIE Corps Database, website, and data will all be transferred to GA Ronin over the next month and Astatine will be able to make code updates. If all goes well, the TC will not lose anything except perhaps suffer a little bit of downtime. CA:XO VA Canta Jade will remain to finish up the overdue Newsletter (November 2001 Issue) and hopefully be around to help Astatine compile the December 2001 Issue as well. The EH Database system, however, will need to be reconstructed. For legal reasons, I cannot give out the code that I used for the EH Database. I'll keep it online for a month or two to allow the Fringe, Corporate Division, and Senate to use the old system while they eventually migrate to another database system that somebody else in the fleet can construct. The operational costs for keeping the domain up is about $70 a month for me and they're getting higher as the domain requires more and more bandwidth.

I've been rather pleased with my tour of duty here in the club. I have managed to bring the TIE Corps from the dead as FO, resurrect a dysfunctional Tactical Office as TAC, and hopefully have made some sort of difference for many as XO. I have managed to earn every medal in the TC (with the exception of some of the newer Iron Stars and obsolete MoCs), I have made many good friends in this club, and I have really enjoyed my time here. While I believe there is a lot more I could do for and offer to this club, I sadly must hang up my uniform and call it quits. The club will continue to do fine without me and I will stop by every now and then to say hello.

Take care, everyone, and good luck in the future! :)

Retired Sector Admiral Kawolski

:(( Good luck to XO/SA Astatine!!!

Anyway on with the rest of the news...

Clone Ban
10:03 - FA Priyum Patel [spellfire@btinternet.com]
For the benefit of those that didn't bother reading my last report, there is currently a ban on ALL new clones within the TIE Corps (this won't affect any existing clones). This also serves as a timely reminder that clones must be registered with the Flight Office. If you do have a clone and are unsure as to whether or not it's been registered, then just send me an email with all the relevant details (clone information will be kept confidential if desired).

Remember that illegal clones are treated as AoW violations.

FCHG Contest #2 Results
16:57 - FA Striker [striker@tiecorps.org]
Happy Birthday Emperor's Hammer, and here are some new FCHG Battles for your glory ! The second edition of the FCHG Mission Creation Contest is now over, with the results hereby released; the winning submissions which become new official FCHG Battles are:

Thanks to these who took the time to enter the competition, the winning submissions are once more of greater quality. The only disappointement is the low participation compared to the first edition, though more time was given and more advertisement was made. I guess December is not an as good as time for activty than during summer, but I can't change the date of the EH's Birthday ;) The next edition will take place during July, results to be released for the FC's Birthday. Rating of the submissions was made prior any correction, TIE and XWA submissions were reviewed and corrected by TAC/FA Striker, XvT ones by CA:TAC/VA Marcin Szydlowski, and no tug was harmed during the testing. See you next summer for the third edition of the competition !

BATTLEGROUP ROCKS!!!!! >:P

BG Awards For December 2001

Squadron of the Month: Eta Squadron
Eta : If you looked in a dictionary for 'Active' it would say 'See Eta'.. The best team around at the moment. ALL members of this squadron are proud to be part of it. Blew away all competition in a final week blitz that brought a weekly total eclipsing what a majority of squadrons perform in a month. Three pilots flying more than 100 missions this month, one more was extremely close to getting to that mark too. Lets give you some statistics...

98 BSF's (Average 16.33 per pilot)
554 Missions (Average 92 per pilot)
Indaro Gallia - Pilot of the Month Fourth place (195 Missions)

This squadron deserves this award. Click HERE to see the award.

Pilot of the Month - Colonel Marconius
Pilot of the Month - Colonel Marconius (Iota Squadron)
An outstanding month for him. Blew away all competition in the pilot of the month stakes by flying an incredible 270 missions. Almost single-handedly kept Iota in the hunt for the Squadron of the Month award. His activity is exemplary.

Click HERE to see your award.

Squadron Commander of the Month: CPT Nakata
Squadron Commander of the Month - Captain Nakata (Demon Squadron)
This may come as a shock to some, however, here's the reason why. The last CMDR of Wing XI to become CPT. This month he completed all XWA missions entering that way the Immortal Honor Guard. He also lead his Squadron to have All XWA Citations and Some more in XvT and Tie that way reaching all platforms, in a total of 42 Citations. After completing all IWATS Courses and all XWA Missions, I wonder what will he attack next. I should point out that he just enlisted 6 months ago. He Started playing MP this month also winning 4 LoCs and is working on a Fiction Compendium.

Click HERE to see your award.

Congratulations to all!

Well that wraps up BG Report #2 I hope to write many many more!
