Aggressor Strike Force Report # 25 (2000-11-19)

This report was submitted by AD Priyum Patel

Greetings all, and welcome to this week's BGCOM report...

ASF News:

- The ASF: Supremacy Competition II begins tomorrow!! This competition has been approved by the Tee-Oh guy, and is listed as comp #234 (http://www.imperialacademy.org/compdetails.asp?ID=234)

The competition page is at http://asf.ehnet.org and contains all the information you need to take part. You may have noticed that the webhunt page isn't up yet (for obvious reasons), but should be there after about 7pm GMT tomorrow. Good luck to all pilots, squadrons and ships! :-)

- Congrats to the new COOA, CPT Brucmack! Its now his responsibilty to award all LoCs, inc. those outstanding from the last WoWs (so please go easy on the poor guy!).

- Python Squadron, Wing XV, is in need of a CMDR. If you feel that you're able to handle the command of a Squadron, then please send your applications to Vice Admiral Blade (blade133@europe.com) and Major Ender mBind (a.c.w.t.zwegers@bk.tudelft.nl). Be sure to tell them why you feel you should be picked for the position, and what qualifications you have.

- Krayt Squadron was also CMDR-less, but I know that VA Pel has picked someone for the job. The new CMDR will be announced as soon as Admiral Sarriss updates the TC rosters. The same also holds true for WC of Wing XIV. I know it wasn't an easy job deciding. There were ~20 applications and some very good applicants.
Of course, by the time you're reading this, the new WC may have already been announced...

- I recently awarded several of the Flag Officers with Merit Medals for their recent work. We're lucky to have such a great team of dedicated and experienced Officers, and their efforts are very much appreciated - so next time you see them on IRC, be sure to let them know!

- ASF numbers have been going up and down recently, but they are climbing overall, which is great to see. Please keep up recruitment efforts!

- Wing XIII's competition against the Immortal continues, and is now in the Fiction phase - good luck to all participating pilots!

- November's Vengeance Competition began on Friday, with the start of the XvT WoW. You should have all received the details of this competition from your superiors.

Fleet News:

- Congrats to the Tactical Officer, Striker, who was promoted to the rank of Fleet Admiral for his sterling work.

- Issue 9 of the Battlecry magasine has been released - http://battlecry.ehnet.org/

- Mission Design Contest (from FA Striker):
For the Jedi Convention 2001 held in Cologne, Germany next Easter, the Emperor's Hammer is going to provide some demonstration custom missions for some competitions, with little prizes for the winners. The goal of this contest is to select the missions chosen for this event. Missions will be needed for all platforms, Tie Fighter, X-Wing vs Tie Fighter and X-wing Alliance. Due to the "propaganda" nature of the event, only missions of the highest quality will be selected.

Three custom missions per platform will be chosen for single player competitions. In addition, a set of four XvT missions will be selected for a multiplayer contest: these missions can be in either "multiplayer combat" or "multiplayer training" formats, be played in cooperation or face-to-face engagement, but must be balanced for both sides.

Details available at http://www.tiecorps.org/tac/contest.
