Battlegroups Weekly Report #3

Greetings, members of the TC Battlegroups!

Battlegroup Commander's Log,
ISD Immortal- Near Republic Border:
I hate being sick, expecially when day-to-day operations are at hand. I swear it was Colonel Kessler's fault. He slipped me something in my drink at the Challenge Awards Reception the other night to celebrate Corran Force's Bronze Star. I'll be sure to limit the quartermaster order that Tornado put in last week.
Our "conflict" with the nearby Rebel Squadrons Fleet has been very cold. The only combat engaugement the Battlegroups got into was a brief skirmish between the Colossus and a Rebel Frigate. The Colossus was able to make sort work of it and only suffered minor damage, but starfighter losses were heavy. Colonel Oldham was injured and has decied to step down his status as Wing Commander of Wing VIII. Vice Admiral Ari is in question as to who his replacement will be.
Boarder patrols continue, operations are on-time, and everything is running smoothly. An ideal week here.

Battlegroup Update:

Battlegroup Website Update:
Currently, thanks to Commander Quake, we have a base design for a new BG Webiste! There are still contests for the site, as a few more offers have come to me. Currently Quakes design is being updated. If you have any coments you can preview what might be the new BG website at: http://battlegroups.ehnet.org
Send any comments to myself (jarak@stny.rr.com) and Commander Quake (guyquake@btinternet.com).

Help From Historians:
The Battelgroup Commander is searching for historical information reguarding the Battlegroups. Anyone with anything... including old reports, ship histories, records of past COMs and WCs, a complete listing of old Battlegroup Awards, or any other information you feel is important should submit to the Battlegroup Commander for possible reward. That's right, reward!!! :)

Update from the Tatical Office:
"If you encounter a battle that has a fatal bug in it that prevents you from playing the rest of the battle, you may edit your pilot file ONLY to skip the mission. However, if you edit a pilot file to skip a mission, you MUST notify your superior that you skipped a mission, you MUST fill out a Bug Report on the Battle Center to explain why you skipped a mission, and you cannot receive any high scores for your pilot file. You may not skip more than one mission. You may NOT skip Free Missions. You may NOT skip a mission just because you do not want to fly it."

Loud Music Banned from the Immortal:
Following a rather rash incident where a few Lieutenants thought it "funny" to play punk-rock on the ships PA system, turned to maxium volume in the COM, WC, and BGCOM quarters, all music described as "loud" will be banned from the ISD Immortal until further notice. Booze, however, is still premitted :)

News from the Colossus, Submitted by Vice Admiral Ari:
Well, big week for the Col. Oldie, WC, stepped down. Zekk, Pi CMDR, stepped down. Avantar, Nu CMDR, stepped down. It seems as if a new generation is beginning to arise on the Col. Comp with the Challenge is coming along nicely, so far I know for a fact that Eta had 100% participation. I'm getting TONS of WC apps in the mail. Some more IRC incidents have forced me to request that a team of SRs be assigned to #isd_colossus at all times. Hum....that's all I can think of right now...oh yeah, and after this weekend, there's no more holidays for a while :-P

News from the Relentless, Submitted by Rear Admiral "Slavedriver" Andronicus:
Sigh...another, well, interesting week on board the Relentless, we lose CPT Fortis to the perilous territory of the Fleet reserves, but we do gain a rather flash new Message board for the Relentless, which can be found at http://www.tiecorps.org/mb/, then scoll down til ya see the link to 'ISD Relentless'. But if you didn't know that already, then shame on you! Make up for your discretion by posting like, uh, a little posty thingy :-)
With the resignation of CPT Fortis, Sword CMDR is open for applications. Send 'em to COL Ricaud with a CC to Yours Truly. Make sure you're ranked LT+ and have Squadron Management 1 or 2. When Shield was up for grabs I (and only I, not Ric) got an application for the job from a SL fresh off of Daeadalus :P
I'm contemplating running IRC meetings for the ship's crew (and any other schmoe that feels like attending) on our IRC channel, #ISD_Relentless, located on Undernet. If you don't get on IRC, or you just hang out in #Emperor's_Hammer, pop in sometime!

News from the Immortal, Submitted by Colonel Mell:
Tribe Wars has now concluded and all results should be in to Myself and VA Adrenaline. If you sent them to Dren and forgot me, please email me them asap please.
To quote VA Adrenaline "Octoberfest Challenge -- "Step Lively pilots, this isn't a pleasure yacht!" October is to be a month of productivity and growth, and the ship is hereby ordered to fly all 9 TC-XWA battles by the end of the month! This is a test of your loyalty to the ship and your piloting abilities. Now hop to it! -- keep track of any tips that you find useful and I will add them to my XWA tips section on the Immortal site (coming soon).
Ghost Vs Hornet. ok the Ghost Vs Hornet Competition is over and GHOST WIN!!! GHOST WIN!!! Congrats to all members of Ghost squadron who took part! you've done your squadron, and ship proud.
Ranger Vs Spear. Results are being compiled as we speak on this one, here's Rangers scores. Ok, the top 3 scorer are marked. CM Banger is the topscorer of Ranger Squadron. He will recieve an ISM. Congrats !!!

News from the Challenge, Submitted by Lt-Colonel Darklord:
Tornado vs Spear - The Results!
Congratulations to Tornado squadron on destroying Spear squadron in their recent competition! Tornado won by a huge margin - 75,849 as opposed to Spears result of 18,667! Well done to everyone in Tornado (who also had the honour of achieving 100% participation!)
Tempest Commander
Congratulations to the new CMDR of Tempest Squadron - CPT Vuffi Raa! Best of luck with the squadron, Vuffi!COM gets a Bronze Star
Congrats CoFo on your BS... you seem so damned proud of it I'll put it in my report for you! yay ;-)
SSS Phase 2 now due
All squadrons participating in the Supreme Squadron Series must send me their reports ASAP. I must make mine to LC Ace Pilot tomorrow... the report will be sent somewhere around 7pm GMT after which it will be too late to submit!
ISD Challenge vs ISD Colossus
Just a reminder that the Challenge - Colossus competition ends on 21st October (Saturday). Please ensure your entry is with VA Corran Force and VA Ari before then! Briefly, its fiction and FREE-TIE 134.
Tornado Vs Inferno
Tornado's next target in their mission to show they can beat all squadrons in the BG is (I believe) our very own Inferno squadron! Best of luck to everyone... this should be an interesting competition!

Current Orders:

So far everyone has been doing fine with his RS Situation. Like I said just keep cool and ignore it, don't do anything that will get you into trouble. Also speaking of trouble don't give your CMDRs or WCs a hard time on IRC... respect them, remember it is against CoCs to insult or mock them. Believe me their job is hard enough without more trouble :)
Competitions have been plenty... Tornado VS Everyone it seems. I like that, just try not to get too too competitive or you might just get more than you barganed for. Remember, good sport. As for a new large-scale competition just keep your eyes and ears open and you might get something very shortly :)
Keep on IRC, most like mad on the message boards, don't get too drunk, and don't spit Kessler's face unless his beard is on fire. Don't forget CMDRs, all of you reports are to be CCed to your WC, your COM, and myself. So far so good, keep up the good work.
