Battlegroups Montly Report #1

Greetings, members of the Battlegroups-
This is the first monthly report, so forgive me if it is a bit rough. First off I'd like to comment on the current state of the Battlegroups overall before I go in to each ship individually then, what you all want, hand out the Monthly Awards!
I have been the BGCOM for a grand total of two weeks now, and I find the job a bit overwhelming... but I am adapting to it, falling into a grove if you will. I want to get a big had to Vice Admiral Ari for taking over for a few days while I was off. So far all of the Flag Officers have been doing thier job well. There a great bunch, they really are! Give a hand!
Now stop.. I'm still talking! Though it is addressed in a seperate mail the titles for the ships will be up for grabs in the Battlegroups Ace Pilot League. Challenge your title-holder. It is singles-only this round, so first-come-first-serve. Challenges must be issued by this Friday. The BGAPL Website will be updated shortly as well. Don't forget that there is still a challenge to all BG members to design the Battlegroups Belt.
Also the question of the BG website has come up. Over the long weekend I plan to construct a site. It may be interm, as Ari and Corran Force have expressed desire to create one along the lines of tiecorps.org. Expect it up by Sunday or Monday. Also a rather large project is to compile a through histroy page. What will be there? Old BGCOM Reports dating back to Kessler... or before. Plus you will be able to find a complete listing of BG Award winners back until August. Also the biggest and hardest aspect will be an officer history of all Wing Commanders and Commodores as far back as they go. The Relentless has a rather through listing now. If you have any records you'd like to offer please mail me at jarak@stny.rr.com

Starship Status:
ISD Colossus/Wing VIII-
When I was RelCOM I paid a lot of attention to the Col, it was sort of a model ship I wanted the Relentless to be like. Indeed they are a good crew. They have excellent flag leadership and a good command structure. There has been a rather large in-flow of pilots to this ship so I expect to see nothing but inprovement. Might I sugest challenging others ships or Sov Wings to competitions?

ISD Relentless/Wing XI-
Well I have to say she's made wonderous improvement. In the last month the Rel's numbers shot up from twenty-five to fourty. They have a solid new Commodore and a seasonded Wing Commander to boot. I can honestly see the Relentless giving the Challenge a run for her money... no offence to the Challenge, of course. With a numbers increase we can expect a new squadron to open sometime in the future. Great job, keep it up.

ISD Challenge/Wing X-
Well, they are the Challenge. Big numbers, big pilots. Tornado Squadron shows a lot of activity, I guess because they have such a smashing CMDR in Colonel Kessler. I would highly encourage challenging others to competitions, you have the mass and ability to do so. Chal'ers, go make the Battlegroups proud and kill some Sov Wings!

ISD Immortal/Wing XI-
Even though they lost to the evil that is Preatorian Squadron they still were able to prove that even the most average TC Pilots can beat up on INTEL any day of the week. A great effort, for sure. Good communication, too. The pilots are very friendly and egar to help eachother out. I find myself easily at home here. I sugest you all take an example from them.

Battlegroup Awards- September 2000:

Squadron of the Month: Inferno Squadron, ISD Challenge-
She's the best on the Challenge, according to VA Corran Force. They have an excellent reputation that draws new Cadets in every week. That, coupled with extreamly high activity and pilot ability, have earned Inferno the title of Squadron of the Month!

Squadron Commander of the Month: Commander Quake, Spear Squadron, ISD Relentless-
All I can say is- Wow! He took Spear, at the time in distress and in fear of shutting its doors, and made it into a highly active unit with ten pilots. This is remarkable ability, very impessive. He works very well at his position and continues to look out for the best in his squadron. He has earned this above all others.

Pilot of the Month: Commander Tom, Sword 2-1, ISD Relentless-
An ultra-flyer. He has flow more battles than any other Wing IXer to date, and holds a very impressive FCHG rank to boot. He sets a good example, and a hard record to beat. Keep it up, Tom, and you'll be remembered... mostly for testing the limits of Kawolski's database system!

Great job, everyone. I am very happy to be in command of such a large and active group of pilots and officers. Weekly Report #2 comming at you this Sunday, as well as a new website... provided nothing goes too wrong. Until then stay out of the booze, expecially mine. Rememeber that Advanced Concussion Missiles kill... Rebels that is.
