COM Report #6, ISD Relentless - RA La’an 24/01/05

Introduction

This week and the last have seen a steep increase in activity, which is excellent... but... it seems that a few people are doing most of the work here. Remember, flying is important, but you can stay active in other ways - MBs, IRC, fictions, trivia - anything can count. Id like to see some more from a lot of you, so get on it... Overall though im still damn proud of every single one of you :) 173 missions this week alone means were one of the most active ships in the fleet, so keep it up, its kudos for you, and especially me ;)

Ship News

Many things have happened, most already covered in LC Holthaus's report, ill spare the repetition... Suffice to say were nearly at MWE time again, so MSEs should be in at the latest by the first of February, at the l-a-t-e-s-t - plenty of notice, so get on it - none earlier then the 29th would also be preferable :)

Firstly though, i want all CMDR's to choose a colour for their squadrons - failing that the FL's can reach an agreement. Failing that an FM will do it - if theres nothing by next week I will do it. But if i have to choose, no complaints about neon pink not being a "manly" colour.

Hammer is setting the standard once again for activity, so particular attention needs to be paid to them, and Fahrer and Hermann especially. These two are also part of the minority who have flown Casino Imperiale's mission - they managed, myself and Rej managed - so you all can! Get on it....

www.tcbg.net is currently down due to server problems, as is minos and els. However, the problems are being resolved, and any problems will be addressed quickly.

Remarks

This weeks activity has been outstanding, but if more than 4 people fly, it could be the best we've seen in a very, very, very long time on the Relentless...

MISSION TOTAL: 178

IWATS TOTAL: 6

Id really like to see alot of emphasis on encouraging the rest of you to fly, thankfully we have the opportunity of Casino Imperiale, once again... FLY IT!

Current Comps

Fahrer's Riddle Runon comp is still running, so feel free to join on on the IX message board, its surprisingly good fun and its getting difficult...

Also, the rant section on the WCs report needs filling, so get along to his office and winge... IS-SR and a -BR are available for the loudest/best. They should be funny and prererably not obscene :p Quantity is also good, so bombard his mailbox by all means

The above link contains all the details the TCCOM's Own competition (Casino Imperiale), starring the TCBGs! Its based on participation, so im looking forward to seeing us win this comfortably. Don't disappoint - all details are at the URL, so read thoroughly, and ask me if you have any problems or need any questions answered.

Also, the TCBG requires a new banner, so make one :0. Competition details are at...
http://www.ehtiecorps.org/competitions/details.asp?ID=1757
There's an IS-GR for the winner, and an SR for second, so chances are theres going to be some stiff competition; good luck. Hopefully we can nab first place :)

Thought for the Week

Yet another thought to produce, hmmm...

An ant may well destroy a whole dam

Ignoring the basic physical problems involved with a single ant destroying a dam; unless the dam is small, and the ant very big... or has access to explosives/demolition equipment... Its the little things in life that lead to the worst possible disasters, so take some time - get the basics sorted and everything else becomes that much stabler, and that little bit less likely to explode in your face and result in pain/debt/humiliation

Coincidentally, the unknown author is effectively repeating Caesar's "In war little things lead to large consequences" so its therefore a very important and recognised lesson :)
