COM Report #4, ISD Relentless - RA La’an 29/12/04


Introduction



Welcome one and all to the mighty 4th RelCOM report from myself, marking two months as COM so far... Its been great so far, and i can only hope that we continue to improve. This report wont copy everything Rej has already goneover, so ill keep things brief and hopefully clear. Once again i have to apologise for my own inactivity - making me a hypocrite considering the levels of activity i expect from all you. Unavoidable family and work committments have really eaten into my time, but im pretty much free now, so expect ore of me, more regularly...



Oh, and i hope everyone enjoyedtheir Christmas or similar winter festival, and i hope you all have a good new year...

Were consolidating our 2nd place in ECR, awaiting further results.



ImpStorm is seemingly still running as well :p

Lastly, the current emphasis is on activity, and recruitment - were up from the last time i said this, but there can never be enough pilots in the wing....


Remarks



Activity has improved markedly, with 131 missions flown, and 10 IWATS taken - this is great, and is really gonna make next weeks MWE look amazing. Im glad we have recovered from the post-ECR lull, so hopefully we can continue to improve. Id like to note the activities of LT Fahrer, LT Bajorn, and LC Mosh as particularly above and beyond the call of duty...



Current Comps



ECR is seemingly eternal, so that can, for the moment, be utterly forgotten.



The COM Trivia Comp ended on the 20th, with me keeping it open for late entries until now... victors will be announced tomorrow.

Wing IXers,

Here is some important information for those planning (even if unsure) to participate in the Wing IX vs. Avenger comp.

1. Go to this MB post: http://mb.emperorshammer.net/viewtopic.php?t=258 and respond with your ID line and email. This is so I can get a good idea of who is participating, and I'll put together a mailing list for announcements.

2. Check out the MP IWATS Course: http://sarin.minos.net/iwats/ At least read the notes and refresh your memory as to how the 24/7 LoC's work (yes, you also get LoC's for each win). I'd prefer you all also pass the course if you haven't already, but this is NOT mandatory. If you've already done the MP, or want to learn more, do Advanced MP at: http://tausquadron.net/quicksilver/amp.html

3. Remember to email ME, LA'AN and COL NIGHTMARE all match results as well as submitting them to the COO for LoC's.

4. You can set up matches by emailing anyone in avenger squadron, or going to #avenger_squadron on IRC and setting up a match there.

Thought for the Week

Another fortnight, another thought. I think i'll delve into my own thoughts for this one, so....



At times it may feel like everything is set in motion against you, but i always find it best to remember one thing. You can guarantee that out in the world, theres a hell of a lot of people being screwed and having their lifes messed up, taken, or degraded... so life for you really aint all that bad...
