Greetings – welcome to the ISD Predator ship report for the week ending 22nd November 2004.
News
By now everyone should’ve got into 1.65 and started playing. If you need help getting your character set-up, then please ask any EHC member or a kind trader from Wampa or Argosy.
If someone does lend you some money, please send me a quick email saying who it was and how much. That way I can keep the records up to date.
1.64 Stats
Ok, I’ve gone through all the records I received and calculated the stats for people in 1.64. They can be seen here: http://www.btinternet.com/~spellfire/164.html
Points to note: I received nothing for Hawk pilots. Please send me your stats individually or via your new CMDR, CM Jesp Darkhill (Darkhill@ehnet.org) – congratulations by the way. I also have very little for Eidolon and Argosy pilots. If you want those FCHG credits, then please send me your stats ASAP (spellfire@btinternet.com).
Congratulations to our very own Wing Commander, Keller, who (so far) accumulated the most FCHG points – 482! Remember that for the next two week, you can earn double points for donating money to the EH Bank – so 1 FCHG for every $100,000 given to any EHC character. We’ll then use this money to help new players get set up – the same practice we’ve been doing from the beginning.
In-game Issues
Remember to be a good sportsman at all times! Try not to “dock-rape” not matter how tempted you are, or how deserving the opponent. If faced with idiocy, just ignore. Too many times EHers are responding to childish statement with the same sort of thing, which only fuels the feud more. Like I keep repeating – if you can’t think of anything nice to say, don’t say anything. If a response is required, a Flag Officer will give it. If you think something needs to be addressed by myself, then let me know.
Secondly, some in-game practices you should all be doing by now –
- ALWAYS group with other EHers. The only exception to this is if someone wants to do a mission on his or her own, in which case they shouldn’t be grouped. To group someone, simply type “/invite [EH_WampaSq]Joe” in the chat window.
- If an EHer requests help, then that is your priority – not hunting for Corusca gems. Freeworlds is all about PC co-operation and that’s how we’ll play. Go off and do your own thing when an EHer doesn’t need help. If I find out you’re ignoring this basic tenet, you’ll be off the user-list.
- When hunting the enemy, keep things simple – check the Comms screen for locations, keep your group updated with your location. Laying in wait at Hyper-bouys is a perfectly legal tactic employed by all factions. Sweep possible locations – Corellia is a good trade planet and is always worth a look.
Training
I need someone to setup and run a training system for FW pilots – dogfighting skills, transport escort etc. I don’t mind who does it, as long as they actually do it properly. If you’re interested in this, please let me know along with a possible plan.

Ok, I’ve gotten a new competition approved by the Training Officer. Basically, we all meet up on IRC and on the server at 10PM GMT / 5PM EST on a Wednesday night. Myself (or whoever is in charge if I’m not there) will set up a target, or multiple targets on the server. You’ll then go off, either on your own or in packs led by a CMDR or another EHC member and try to kill that target. Each time you kill it, you’ll get a LoC. Screenshots must be sent, failing that, at least a report from your Pack leader confirming the kill. In the event that you’re unsure who actually got the kill, the Pack Leader must decide, and can allocate it to up to TWO people for that kill.
Targets will vary – they can be a hostile faction, or possibly even me. Whoever gets the most kills for the night will get a DFC and Iron Star w/ Silver Wings (Bronze Wings for 2nd place). The hunt will last for approx. two hours, or until I get tired. You can join in at anytime. Remember that RoEs will be in full effect during the competition.
New Hoth Tax
The Independent Traders, who currently hold Hoth, have introduced a docking tax there - $500,000 each time you dock, or $12,500,000 for the week. I won’t comment on the merits of this but let me be clear on this – YOU WILL DO NOTHING TO MAKE THE IT HOSTILE TO THE EH. If you get caught docking, then you must pay up. Apparently the Trade Federation will be enforcing this. Quite frankly, you might as well save yourself the bother and not dock at Hoth. It’s a hole anyway.
Oh – the TF is still hostile to us.

The BO forums have just undergone a massive change – you’ll have to redo your signatures. Check them out.
