COM Chatter

Another fine week for the mighy Vanguard. We are really spacing ourselves in numbers from the next biggest ship and hopefully we can continue that trend. We are knocking on the door to 50 pilots so lets kick it down and get back into that glorious number. Welcome all our new members and congratulations to all the pilots who earned promotions. Keep up the good work Van, you are looking outstanding.

Ship News
We have gained many more pilots in the last week. Our wing has done amazing things since myself and Justin took over leading the crew. Thank you to all of you who have contributed to our sucess. Sometimes the flags get the credit for it, but I want to personally thank all of our loyal crewers who make us look good.

Python Squadron will open soon. We had hoped for this weekend but due to the unforunate change in cmdr plans we have had to delay its grand openning. Dont worry if all goes well, we will have it open next week.

TopDog is heating up. Echo is out to a sizable lead but I have seen greater leads blown and come right down to the wire. There are lots of points and medals to be earned for everyone so get to it and dont give up.


ASF News
Everyone should attempt to send AD Khadgar and graphics and fiction they can put their hands on for our paper the Aggressor. Im sure awards will fall from above for all that do. I know if you dont those photos I tend to snap of our crew in their most compromising postions may find their way into his hands as replacements.

The Khadgar is back we think. It cant be confirmed but he staggered aboard with the smell of alcohol and smelly cheese so there is no telling what our great BGCOM has been up to in his days off.

I think there are a couple of ASF commander seats open for apps. Lets get those filled up so the ASF can remain the strongest fleet in the corps.

Network maintenance

The hosting company will be performing maintenance works on Sunday August 22. The works will start at 11:59pm CDT and will take about 3 hours to complete. Some issues with accessing the TIE Corps site may be experienced during this period.


Commendations of Loyalty

Today, August 21st, is the FC's Birthday, so that means, Awards! The Commendation of Loyalty is awarded all members of the Emperor's Hammer by the Fleet Commander or Executive Officer who have displayed tremendous dedication to the Fleet.

For the TIE Corps:
Each squadron commander can send any number of recommendations for awards to their respective Wing Commander. The Wing Commander chooses three (3) awards. Then these recommendations are forwarded up the chain of command to the respective Commodores and Battlegroup Commanders, making any possible corrections. Then the Battlegroup Commander collects the recommendations for his Battlegroup, and emails them to the Operations Officer, CC'ing the Flight Officer. Also, each Battlegroup Commander has the discretion to award a maximum of three (3) awards to his Flag Officers.

For elite squadrons (Avenger, Praetorian, Tau, and Omega), the commander can recommend up to one (1) award to their Battlegroup Commander (Omega - SovCOM; Avenger - ASF BGCOM), in the case of Praetorian and Tau Squadron, the CMDR will directly email the Operations Officer, also CC'ing the Flight Officer.

For the Dark Brotherhood:
Each Clan Consul will have the ability to recommend up to three (3) members from their clan to the Chancellor of the Brotherhood and the Grand Master. The Grand Master will also have a special discretionary award up to a maximum of five (5) awards. These final recommendations will be sent by the Grand Master to the Operations Officer.

Other Subgroups:
Each Subgroup (other than the Brotherhood) will have the opportunity to recommend a maximum of ten (10) awards. These will be sent directly to the Operations Officer.

Command Staff/Advisors:
Each CO will be allowed a small indeterminate level of awarding, to be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. These recommendations also go to the Operations Officer.

ALL recommendations must have the subject heading: "CoL Recommendations" or they will be ignored.

Recomendations are due September 4th, 2004, at Midnight Eastern Standard Time. No late awards will be accepted

I am leaving for my honeymoon in 30 minutes and will return next saturday. All COO operations will continue as normal due to the outstanding COO staff. Admiral Khadgar has access to awarding LoCs and access to the COO 24/7 LoC website. He will be able to award and LoCs that you desperately need on your profile. See everyone in a week.
