ISD-II Intrepid Report #28

- SHIP NEWS -
SC has started The 7th edition of the ASF Supremacy Comp is up and running. So far the Intrepid is showing a good activity level but there's definitely room for improvement especially for participation. This is the most important competition of the ASF and you biggest chance to receive a shining Silver Star of the Empire so if you haven't done anything yet get moving and start to collect some points for your squadron and Wing. Rules and standings of SCVII are located at: http://asfsc7.tiecorps.net/. IMPORTANT REMINDERS: 1) submit all your MP matches to the appropriate ladder of that week. The COO Ladders system is located at: http://www.minos.net/~ssy/ladder/ and you need a ELS handle to use that site. 2) if you have one or more Freeworlds character registered on Burnout's 24/7 Server please let me know. I need the names of your character to keep track of points you get from killing NPCs and completing missions. 3) do not forget to CC your CMDR, the Wing Commander and me on every fiction, battle creation, gfx and trivia entry you submit to the BGCOM. Two More Pilots! I'm very pleased to announce that two pilots joined the Intrepid. The first one is LT Shivor Dhar, he retunred to active service after being in Reserves for a while and he joined Asp Squadron, welcome aboard! The other pilot is no one else than COL Drako that retunred to the Intrepid after a great Training Officer tenure, of course he joined Diamondback. Welcome back Drako! CoL The commendatiosn of Loyalty for the 10th Anniversary of the Emperor's Hammer have been assigned to the following members of the ISD Intrepid: LCM El Guapo, CPT Fox Malloy, LC Apophis Kuma. Also, the BGCOM Gilad has been so kind to recommend a CoL to myself and LC Malidir. 5 CoLs to the Intrepid, yay us. SS awarded The Silver Star of the Empire has been awarded to LC Apophis Kuma for his excellent service as Cobra Squadron Commander during the months of November and December. Other than completing 41 battles and 29 free missions, Apophis has continued to submit regular reports every week, he maintained good communication within his squadron and he has been active as TAC tester and IWATS Professor. These competitions will be official events with LoC and DFCs awarded at the end of each nights competition. The first competition will be tomorrow night, featuring XWA Skirmishes. Skipping Missions
15:22 - RA Frodo
Within the last few months quite a few pilots have been skipping missions when flying battles from our mission compendium. Usually when a pilot submits a battle with a skipped mission his Commander is to get a notice from the database while attempting to submit the pilot file, the database tells the Commander or Flag that the file is corrupted and/or missions have been skipped.

The message looks a little something like this:

"This is not the correct pilot file for this battle. The wrong number of missions has been played. The pilot file is invalid."

Whenever you get that notice when you submit a battle do not check the no high scores box and submit it anyway Doing so will result in having me receive the e-mail notice and eventually removing the battle from the pilot's record.

If it happens once I understand, but if it is repeated frequently by CMDRs and Flags then I will be forced to take disciplinary action.
