-- Operation Outrageous Fortune has resumed, and it looks like some titanic space battles are in the wind. After a lull in the game, it was determined that ground combat with SWGB and JK II would not be included in this game. In other wargame news, Task Force Blue lost its TFA when COL Frodo stepped down as Wing V WC. He has been replaced as TFA by LC Freelancer, who prefers to be addressed as "Warlord Khan Freelancer."
-- Yes, Wing V is without a WC, after Frodo resigned and transferred to Krayt Squadron. I am accepting applications for a new WC until Friday, April 25. "The Hammer's Hellfighters" will have new leadership shortly.
-- To enhance data security, it is now required that you log in to the TIE Corps database to be able to download EH missions. This is an after-effect of the Dark Brotherhood meltdown.
-- Sovereign Trivia Competition results, as reported by LCM Sirik Xirok:
"Sirik stared at the contestants from his podium. "Well folks," he began, "I've come to realize many things after this fun stuff, but most importantly, pick easier questions."
"Just read the results," a random voice shouted.
"Ok, and the winners are," a drum roll was heard off in the distance, "3rd place goes to, Jack Stone of Wing II!" The eager pilot came up, took his IS-BR and went onto the platform marked '3RD.'
"Next, our 2nd place winner is, Abel Malik or Wing III." Abel came up, took the IS-SR and went to the platform marked '2ND', slightly higher than the one marked '3RD.'
"Ok, finally, the moment you've been awaiting.....the 1st place winner is," there was a great hush and even the drumming stopped," Dweezil of Wing II!"
Dweezil came up the stairs and fainted halfway through accepting his award. Leroy draged him on to the platform marked '1ST.'
"Thanks to all who participated. I hope to do this again soon."
With that, all the pilots left and the Sovereign Clean-Up Crew came in and cleaned up."

-- ATF shakeup. BGCOM AD Jeff "Tiger" Loruss of the Avenger Task Force tries to lead a revolt of TC/DB members to go over to the renegade DB, and is promptly sacked. A bunch of new ATF leaders are appointed, as are several members of the new EH DB Dark Council, including our own Aeishline Strathaven as Shadow Academy headmistress and HA Priyum otherwise known as Evil FO< as MAA (Master at Arms). Evil FO, DatabaseBoi, take your pick ;)
-- DB losses. It seems the impact on the Sovereign has been minimal. I have seen a lot of traffic on the boards, in e-mail chains, etc., supporting the FC and the EH. One flight member that I know of resigned to take up with the DB separatists. Frodo quit at least in partial linkage because a friend of his quit her TC command post to go with the separatists. Overall, the Sov's numbers are up substantially in the past week, and I credit this to the excellent activity and recruiting of our pilots!

"Mike briskly walks down the corridor. It had been a few hours since plot
holes had been opening up all around the Sov. They had already lost 3
pilots this morning to the holes. Mike had to move quickly to end the
plot holes before insanity reached an all time high. Opening his door to
his office, he only had a split second to react. He jumped back, but it
was too late, in a moment the mass of papers was on top of him. From
beneath the pile, a muffled scream escaped.
"Help!!! I've been spammed!" THe Sov pilots would have to face these plot
holes on their own..." -LC Mike "buried" Chistu
"Freelancer enters the Cantina, feeling quite happy with himself. After
ordering the best drink he can get, he goes over and sits down for a nice
relaxing evening, drinking until he barfs. But when he reaches out for
the drink, but finds a small plot hole in front of him. Suddenly, a hand
reaches out from the hole, grabs the drink, and vanishes back within the
hole. The hole then dissapears, leaving a confused Freelancer. His
screams could be heard throughout the Sov.
Argon, running away from the horrible sound, stopped in front of Mike's
office when he heard a peculiar sound. Leaning down, he sould hear a
muffled laugh, and someone say, "He didn't get all of the plotholes."
SUddenly, an empty glass flew out of the pile of mail, smashing against
the outer bulkhead. Argon left that night knowing that Mike had won." -LC Mike CHistu
