SOVEREIGN AND FLEET NEWS AND NOTES
-- The Sovereign Squadron League playoffs begin July 5! Everyone watch the announcements from the chief judge, LC Todbringer, on Saturday, about which squadrons have advanced to the playoff round of eight in each of the three platform divisions, and which battles will be flown. Note to all playoff participants: The absolute deadline for flying the first-round playoff battles is July 15! As for round 8 of the regular season, you have three days left to fly XvT-FREE 90, TIE-FREE 218 and-or XWA-FREE 55.
-- In conjunction with the SSL, I have commissioned a graphics competition for the creation of award emblems (or certificates, medallions, patches, posters, or whatever else captures the artist's fancy). It is known as the Sovereign Squadron League Graphics Grab:

Competition details:
Entrants are invited to create award images for squadron and individual winners in the SSSD Sovereign Squadron League.
Any award format may be chosen (emblems, patches, plaques, certificates, medallions, ribbons, etc.).

I noticed the other day my lack of an Imperial Pilot Navy Record (INPR). Now I know I wrote one many moons ago under the constant bugging of my then CMDR, General Sasquatch (now Elite Omega CMDR), but finding it proved unsuccessful. So rather than rewriting it, I thought it might be interesting to get members of the TIE Corps to submit their own versions, with awards going for the best entries.
Submissions can be serious or humorous, the only criteria is that they be in good taste and have a good amount of content. Send them attached as either .doc or .txt files to spellfire@btinternet.com by July 13th. After this I'll decide on the winning entry and post all submissions for viewing.
-- MAJ Devin Taralis, Wing V WC, is MIA. His e-mail has been bouncing for more than a week. MAJ Yoman and CPT BubbaX are handling A-WC duties alternately. If Taralis does not resurface within a few days, he will be declared AWOL and a new WC for the Hammer's Hellfighters will be sought. I appreciate the patience and dedication of Wing V members during this unfortunate hiatus.
