Commodore’s Opening Words

Ahoy-hoy to the mighty crew of the ISD-II Intrepid! :) It is a pleasure for me to be making this first report as the new Commodore of the ship. A few days ago we celebrated my appointment but now its time to get down to business with our new Goals, and this ship report.

This week brought forth two Squadron Commander openings, that of Krayt Squadron, my former position which I had to vacate for obvious reasons. It is not open to applications, the Wing XIV WC and I have a few candidates in mind before we do so. The second command position would be that of Cobra Squadron Commander. MAJ Blade unfortunately had to leave his current position since he is adopting a new job that will require him to travel a lot, but I was able to convince Blade to stay as an FM in cobra Squadron, and so we don’t miss him too much :P This position is NOT open to applications aswell, do not apply for any of these CMDR positions unless you are told to by myself or your WC.

This week also gave us quite a few AWOL, and RSV transfers. I have set forth a ‘recruitment plan’ for the ship flags and the Squadron Commanders. It consists of three parts that will remain secret for now, just pay attention to your CMDRs when they tell you what to do and how to recruit cause its vital for our ships pilot growth.

However, any independent efforts for recruitment will be grandly appreciated! If you can bring in any cadet from Deadelus or even recruit people in RL, by all means go ahead! It would be a great help to the Ship and I guarantee you that good rewards are in for people who can recruit well, it looks good in your ATR, and in front of your flag officers;)

Other than that, I have created a new Nickname/Motto/Banner Competition, full details in the competitions section, but basically you must create any of the above three and send your submissions to myself at fcjt914@yahoo.ca

I once again announce the Wing XIV Top Guns Ladder competition, MAJ Phantom made this competition so anybody in the Wing could fly MP and win medals for it, and a special award is given to the winning Squadron. Wouldn’t you like to bring such pride and glory to your squadron? Wouldn’t you like a beautiful new medal on your uniform? It won’t happen unless you participate, so hop to it! You got until the 26th of June!

I’m happy to say that my first few days as Commodore had some nice flying activity from a few of you involved. Plus, I got to finish awarding the last of the April MSE awards, which should arrive in your inboxes soon, keep looking!

BitchX Professor Open for Applications

The Training Office is current looking for a new BitchX (a text-based IRC client) Professor to join the Imperial Weapons and Tactics School. The requirements are:

An active member of the Emperor’s Hammer holding the rank of Lieutenant (or equivalent) or above.
Extensive knowledge of the open-source IRC client, BitchX (http://www.bitchx.org/).
Be able to grade exam submissions within 24 hours.
Keeping Graduate Counts (total and per month).
Maintaining/updating the Course Notes (basic HTML knowledge necessary; or a good WYSIWYG editor).
Applications should be sent to me (to@emperorshammer.org) with the subject “BitchX PROF Application”.

Congrats also go out to Lieutenant Colonel Thorn, who takes over command of Wing III as it's new Wing Commander.

Finishing words

Good times are ahead for the Intrepid, but they demand you to be active and to recruit some pilots! I probably get annoying when I constantly rant about recruiting, but that’s only because its important and good for you’re Squadrons, and the Ship as a whole.

Ahh yes, and there seems to be the matter of the missing section in the report.…Its called currently “TBA” because I haven’t thought about it yet, notice in each and every report I’ve sent either Squadron or Wing, I always had some extra fun and cool arse sections that either came from my twisted mind, or from somebody else’s. If you have any Idea for what I could add in reports, just tell me;)

And remember whenever you need an MP match and I’m not away on IRC, I’ll be more then happy to give you a Match;) (How do you think Crim Got so high in the ladder?:P)
