SSSD SOVEREIGN NEWS, 3-18-02

COM/VA Proton reporting for the SSSD Sovereign, flagship of the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet.

Wing commanders, pass this along to your squadrons, and cc: me on those mails.

SOVEREIGN AND FLEET NEWS AND NOTES

-- Congratulations and pitchers of beer for Generals Reaper and SickMan and Lieutenant Colonel Jahan Kalar, the newly promoted among us. Colonel Es'mith, as The New Guy among the flags, is serving the drinks in the command lounge for the foreseeable future. Well done, you three! The promotions were well-deserved, and remember they are not a reward but a promise of further service.

-- Speaking of the foreseeable future -- I have not heard "boo" from the Wing I WC or his A-WC for more than a week. If anyone sees LC Murad and-or CPT Mike passed out in the cantina, pour a bucket of stale beer on them and tell them to contact me asap.

-- We defeated the Rebel Squadrons' Renegade Fleet in an XvT contest Saturday in #Sovereign_vs_Renegade. The turnout was dismal on both sides, but that's probably to be expected because of the short notice, and because XvT is our No. 3 platform. We prevailed 3-2. Congratulations to COL Darth Vader of Omega, who picked up two individual victories. We may schedule a rematch with the Rebel scum, and it may occur as soon as this Friday. So, all XvT pilots, ready your craft and remain on yellow alert.

-- Speaking of the Rebel scum, and in this case I do mean it literally ... while monitoring the competition in the IRC channel Saturday, it was astounding to observe the crudity of conversation among the shameless, uncouth Rebels. It was all about orifices and members and ... you get the picture. I thought Sov pilots were a raucuous, disgusting bunch of debased scuzzbags, until I ran into these revolting Rebels ;)

-- Please get on your creativity mojo, and come up with a catchy name for the soon-to-be weekly Sovereign multiplayer night. The event will be held on Saturdays. Send your name ideas to me at hullbreach@aol.com. Deadline is March 25. Winner will receive an IS-GR.

-- Imperial Storm III tactical staff will be announced this week. We're still awaiting word from the War Office about the commencement of hostilities.

-- Reminding, the SSSD Sovereign Free Mission Blast No. 1, it ends Thursday March 21! Three iron stars are up for grabs, and the comp is open to XWA and TIE pilots:

-- From SA Astatine, New TC survey
Since things are a bit slow and I wanted to see if the survey feature actually still worked. :P It's about my performance as XO so far, so login and vote.

-- From FA Striker, High scores
The online pilot viewer for BSFs is still out of service, thus high scores will not be processed until this is repaired... please be patient... And I'm on leave for those who don't read reports, news headers etc.

-- From VA Khadgar, XvT Week of War
Today, XvT Week of War started. Pilots will have until next Friday to fly matches on the Zone against other clubs to win LoCs. Last time around, a lot of matches were played, and many awards were distributed. I hope to see many pilots come out and help the EH to once again rank amongst the top ten clubs participating.

CANTINA COMMENTS

"I'll take a nice shot of Captain Morgan's straight up. That'll put some hair on your chest." -COL Jahan "Massive Hangover" Kalar

"so I'm known as Reaper the Monkey Killer, well suspose its better than being known as Reaper the Monkey Spanker :P" -GN Reaper

"Thanks for your congrats, now where is that keg Proto mentioned ;) " -GN Reaper

"Now there's an idea, his head can be placed on the wall next to that of his beloved prank monkey - together again.
have to wonder what the MD rug would go like in Reapers office though :P " -LT Dedmeat

"Fanatic insanity. Anyone that's been a member of the EH for more than 2 or 3 years and has more than 5 different medals is probably insane.
Those that have medals higher than a bronze star are fanatics that need
to be treated. Those that have every medal in the EH and have been
around since the GA think the EH is REAL and the rebellion really must
die!! :) " -COL Darth Vader

"On your way to the corner, make sure you put on this pointy hat, oh and remember to display the large D so it is at the front :P " -GN Reaper

"The Bikini Chaser is prepped for launch, fuel tank is full, missles are loaded, selection of heavy metal music loaded and the drinks cabinet is refreshed, all i need now is a joystick and i`ll back home in time for tea........and medals:)" -GN SickMan

"Advanced warning: This report was written at 3:42 am CST, on the day Ford's supposed to leave for Spring Break (and still hasn't finished packing for), after a long day involving the NCAA tournament, a long dinner at a Mexican restaurant surrounded by gay people, and a lengthy discussion until 3:30 am outlining a plan to save the world that includes saving the soul of a fellow man from a succubus, Chinese prostitution, bass amps and Mailboxes Etc. You have been warned. :P" -GN Ford Prefect
