/me
yells in angrily at himself: "dang late again."
In
any case here's another one of these rare VanCOM reports.... I'll better
myself - reeeeally i will... (yeah right... didn't I say that last time
as well?)
1.
You
all got the messages telling you LC Khadgar got promoted to Grey Mutt COM
and I got promoted to VA I gather. Ofcourse it was obvious that the Wing
Commander position came free with that... and I've known that: First I
got flooded with private messages on IRC and then I received many well
written applications for the post. The requirements I had were various,
our new BGCOM - and in fact the Training Manual - demand that command positions
in the ASF are taken by Multi Play pilots, and personally I also preferred
somebody I knew and trusted to be the right WC. This was probably the most
difficult decision I ever made, especially when also the FO and BGCOM got
themselves more involved - which then ignited the Security Officer, the
XO and even the FC to get involved into the whole thing... Without that
it was hard enough, the people invited to apply were all overly qualified
and deserving.
After
a lot thinking I would like to announce that the new Wing XV Commander
is Maj. Zippy Hawk, formally of Python Squadron. We've known Hawkie for
quite a while and he has repeatedly proved to be very entertaining
and reliable to do his reports. Congratulations Major! Party will
be in the Officers Mess this evening - drinks are on Hawkie!
2.
Since me last report lotsa things happened on the roster field. Some less happy things happened ofcourse, like CPT CrazyR24 stepping down from Python CMDR and others leaving to leaving to the reserves after being on this ship for a long time.... but the good stuff prevails!
We got 2, almost 3, new Squadron CMDRs! First CM Strahd replaced LC DS-61-4 in Echo and instantly won the Vanguard Comp, then we got CM Damon Kast who replaced R2 in Python. Both of them are doing great and I got the fullest confidence in both of them. The (almost) third is The Z who will be reopening Scorpion very soon, since he found himself two good FLs to reinforce him there - so if you see anyone hanging in the pilots mess wearing a scorp badge, welcome them aboard and Congratulate the new CMDRs too ofcourse!
I'd like to also congratulate especially Garik Hizad on his promotion to COL (very very rare for a CMDR to get that rank - impressive indeed), CPT jdf1984 on his promotion to Major, CM CrazyR2 on his promotion to Captain, LCM Schitzo and CM Ray Lazzak on their promotions to Commander and ofcourse MAJ. Prophet for earning COM's Protector and Wasp Squadron on getting WC's Own for the third time in a row (where are you echo, mantis and python?). We received many new pilots too, too all the Squads - and the most of them have proved to be active pilots too.... earning their promotion to Lieutenant quickly. SL Raven returned to the wing and got promoted to lieutenant in Wasp Squadron yesterday, congrats.
And then thirdly we got a new medical Staff in the form of LT Mo from Wasp and LT Boris from Python. If you have any trouble or problems you think you can't talk about with your CMDR or the Vanguard Flag staff you can always contact them for some medication;)
3.

been slacking off a bit. About 1/3rd of the wing participated, which is
definitely not a bad score:)
5.
Check
regularly into our site and message board as well. The message board is
one of the easiest way to get your ideas into action or just give feedback
on other ideas... or even just to talk about absolutely nothing;) The run-on
story has been continuing, which is always fun to get active in.... The
site strives to have the latest news, links and data that actually impacts
this ship on the news page ASAP. So if you're wondering what's going on
it 's a good place to go as well. Straight contact can ofcourse always
be gotten on our IRC channel #Vanguard, I'm working on getting X back in
there, but we already got a bot there to keep things in place so there
is not a really big rush:).

the EH Imperial News Center with news on the latest command changes, promotions,
and other Star Wars info.
- Fellow Emperor Hammer's members.
I am proud to announce that there will be a Dutch EH Meeting from Friday
the 17th till Sunday the 19th of August in Delft, Holland. This Meeting
is organised by me, Major Tarkin and Vice-Admiral Ender Mindbender. Lodging
arrangements have been made for all that want to attend. A website will
go online this weekend with a full itinerary and various travel possibilities
for just about all European members. Since Holland is centrally located
in Europe and has a highly developed infrastructure we feel that this is
a wonderful opportunity to get as many different nationalities together
and maybe create the biggest EH Meeting EVER! And of course all of you
outside Europe are very welcome to come over here. :) If you decide to
come, please mail me and VA Mindbender so we can arrange a proper welcome.
Also, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
- Members of Emperor's Hammer.
I come to you to inform you once again about EH Poland Meeting this summer.
Time is running out. But now I got more datails.

It'll start at Friday, the 29th of June till Monday the 2nd of July. Location:
Jonny's Summer House, 30km from Bialystok, North-Eastern region of Poland.
What you need? Simple. We only provide the place. You need to bring cash

- Many congratulations to Rear
Admiral Khadgar who has been appointed as the new Commodore for the ISD
Grey Wolf!
- At the recommendation of
Vice Admiral Cyric and with full support from the Flight Office, current
Vanguard Commodore, RA Ender mBind has been promoted to the rank of Vice
Admiral for the tireless work he's done for his Command, and the continued
dedication he's shown!
- Last week during the TIE
Corps meeting, AD Jarak Maldon announced his decision to retire from his
position as Battlegroups Commander.
- Congrats go to MAJ. Lohr
Zadash, who is now the new Wing Commander of Wing IX, on the ISD Relentless!
- In a 40 mb chunk, you can

is pretty much for anyone who wants to attempt to continue where the previous
team left off.
- RA Woobee of the ISD Greywolf
has found a new Wing Commander for Wing XIII. Please congratulate MAJ.
Azazel formerly Phoenix CM of Wing XIII. I know he has big shoes to fill

Short Ship News:
- It is with great sorrow that
I announce CM CrazyR2's retirement as Python Squadron CMDR. He has
found that he no longer had the time needed to command a squadron.
Crazy R2 has moved back into Python Squadron as a Flight Member. Crazy
R2 has been promoted to Captain for his efforts.
- Our old WC, LC Khadgar, has
been promted to Rear Admiral and is now the Commodor of the Grey Wolf,
Congrats!
- CM Damon Kast, of Python
squadron, has been promoted to Python CMDR! I have full confidence in his
ability to command the Squadron, Congrats!
- CM Strahdt, of Echo squadron,
has been promoted to Echo CMDR to replace LC DS-61-4 and has since proved
to be a great CMDR, Congrats!
- MAJ. Zippy Hawk is our new
Wing Commander, lets all hope he don't screw up;P Congrats Hawkie!
- Tthe rank promotion requests
have been approved for several people onboard. LCM Schitzo and LCM Ray
Lazzak were both promoted to Commander for their outstanding work and activity
as Flight Leaders in Echo and Mantis. CMDR Garik Hizad got promoted to
Colonel!. Within the TIE Corps it's exceptional that a pilot is promoted
to COL as rank gained as a squadron CMDR and we can be definately proud
to have him onboard. On to General! ;)
- Jdf1984 has been a great
CMDR. His Squadron has won two WC's Owns in a row, and the Squadron only
got off the ground nearing the end of the month of the first WC's Own they
won. CPT Jdf1984 submits reports in decent time, but most of all, he goes
above and beyond and submits BSFs, thus earning him this rank of Major!
- LC Khadgar selected the WC's
Own for April 2001... Wasp Squadron! For the third time in a row, Wasp
Squadron has proven themselves to be the Squadron with the most overall
activity and active participants. They have fully earned this honor for
the third time (someone stop them! :P).... Congratulations!
- i selected the COM's Protector
for April 2001: MAJ. Prophet, who has been incredebly active ever since
he joined the ship. This is to recognise that, congrats!

for his ICQ IWATS Course, LT. Mo who got a Bronze Star of the Empire (BS)
for creating ribbons for the Operations Office, MAJ. Prophet for getting
a BS for his MSE recc by jdf1984... and all those others that got an ism
or PC for their continued activity: Great work all of you!
- I'm happy to announce that
we have a new Vanguard Med. Staff to patch us up if we're not feeling too
well.
Our new DOC is LT. Mo from
Wasp and he is supported by Nurse Boris from Python. Congratulations to
them on graduating med school that quick:)
- Congrats Echo on Winning
the Vanguard Competition! You'll be having me in your squad for the next
2 weeks.... i hope you guys have a spot in the T/B Flight for me;)
