XWA League II has finally finished after 6 combat runs spread over around 3 months. This event open to the whole fleet brought 18 squadrons together to fight for the glory and honour of being top XWA Squadron in the fleet. The end result is that Ranger Squadron of Wing XI has come out victorious with Beth Squadron of Wing III coming short at 2nd place. Great work Ranger Squadron!! Wing News
Lots of news this week! The ship is undergoing some major renovations...
This week, we said a sad farewell to two of the finest officers I've had the pleasure to work with:
VA Marc served as the Immortals Commodore for as long as I can remember, and his excellent leadership and will be missed. He is working hard (RL) to complete his studies at school and I wish him the best of luck in achieving his goals. We hope to see him return, if he can find the time.
COL Dras Hempor also left due to some RL issues. He has set some standards for us all to live by, as he excelled in both MP Combat Ratings and FCHG points. Dras was (is) one of the finest officers I've had the pleasure to know in the TC. He flew with pride, without ego and served as an excellent role model to any pilot that had the pleasure to serve with him. Come back to us soon Dras!!
And on that note.. I was selected as the new COM for the Immortal and received a promotion to RA.The Immortal is full of excellent pilots and I plan on making sure our ship stays on top, and that we plow through any competition that dare's to challenge us. Now onto my first task of finding you guys a new WC that can treat you guys as good as I did :P I would like all interested members of this ship to send me your applications right away. I will be taking as long as is needed to select only the most perfect candidate.
CPT Arso Slyth has taken command of Ghost Squadron. Congrats to him! I expect to see great things from Ghost in the near future!!
Okay.. in case you guys need another reminder ... ECR is in it's final phase! Every pilot on board is ordered to fly any 3 of the following missions : TC-TIE 48, 108, 123 TC-XWA 5, 6, 8. Get your submissions in to your commander by next Friday, August 25. Participation is a key factor to winning this phase, so all submissions count!! Pilots who have already completed any (or all) of these battles should be reflying to achieve higher scores. I would like to see you guys using Egroups a bit more to share some tips on how to get some better scores. It's going to be a team effort to win this competition, all the ships are very close going in to this final phase, and it still is anyones game. FLY FLY FLY!! Pilots with TIE are to fly FREE-TIE 119 - "Snake Eyes" for the Immortal Tie Squadron competition. This is due to me by next Wednesday, with the top scorer getting an ISM, and the top overall pilot after 4 rounds will win a PC, as well as.. (i've just decided to add this part) ..will become the CMDR of the TIE Squadron. This team of TIE pilots will be put into action against Praetorian Squadron, an "elite" Squadron who thinks they can actually beat us .. bah!! Let's go kick some Prae butt!! I would just like to add a little note regarding the past few weeks activities on board. It is unfortunate that we have to say our goodbyes to two of the finest officers I've ever had the pleasure to work with, but we still have a solid ship of excellent pilots. It's you, the pilots that have gotten us to the highly esteemed level we are at. For the whole run of the ECR so far, everyone has put in a great effort and I can only hope that our final submission will be enough to keep us on top.
