Well, having read Mai's email resignation, I've decided there's not much left for me on the subject. Only that I'm happy I got the chance to promote her to General before it was her time.

Obviously the first thing on everyone's mind is of course, who will be the next WC. So before I go into a few other things on subject, let's start off with this one. Basically, I will be taking apps starting now. Please send all applications to myself (SetzerPSX@aol.com) and cc VA Drake (Drake@EHnet.org). While I don't mind a little reading, I don't need a book ;-) These applications need to be into me ASAP. I do not want to wait around for a new WC, and thus will be interviewing people periodically as I get these applications, so please do not hesitate! Remember that whoever applies has big shoes to fill, and I'll expect a lot of anyone directly under me.

Second is the Wing X Honour Guard Squadron, which was a comp of Mai's I cancelled as I only want one squad, not three, as that's all we'll be needed. This competition will start as of today, and will last till May 2nd. Basically, all personnel onboard the Challenge are to fly FREE-TIE #175, War Games, by our own LC Beef. I will take the 12 top scores from this competition and form a Honour Squadron. This squadron will be used to tackle the elite squads and other such high reputable bunches and claim victory in the name of the Challenge :) We have done this before, however it was not used the last time we had it. That will change dramatically this time around!

Third, as for the fiction comp there are some rules I need to change... first off tho, I'm curious as into who's intrested in this. In the past I've seen fiction comps quickly die or have far too low participation (One of my IS-BWs is from such a comp :P) If you're intrested in this, please email me privately(we don't need to wake up the whole ship about it). Oh and Master, you're already on the "Yes" list so you need not send me a email ;P

Fourth, as for the war game I unfortunetly did not get the previous reports from any of the CMDRs save Beef when I asked for them after my email account died. So while Typhoon was winning, I have no choice but to announce Thunder the winners of the wargame! However, there still remains to be a IS-SW and IS-BW to be awarded to the top scorers, and I will award these this Saturday night, so CMDRs, please get into me all of your scores from the previous battles before Saturday please.

Guys, in three months we have truely changed in many ways. It's like night and day looking on what we last were. And as you look at the improvements on the ship, I want you to know that it was each of you who did this. As Mai showed you all in her resignation speech, each of you have had a purpose in bringing about this change. But guys... we're still far from over. There's so much more we can accomplish, and as I look at the roster for what seems to be the millionth time I smile as I always do, because I know we can do it. We can do it better now then ever before... far too often have some of the newer folk had to sit through some old timer telling them about the "old times" and how good it was back then. Well guys, as we continue on, we *are* making the glory days. These are the times we'll remember for ages, and never let anyone forget. Let us continue on the ride up, and grab as many stories as we can so that we too may bore a newbie one day to absolute death with all of our tales :)
