SOVEREIGN AND FLEET NEWS AND NOTES

-- Imperial Storm III. Headline: Our pilots bagged the SSD Avenger in a titanic battle in which we wrested control of yet another planet from our opponents.

Squadron-by-squadron status after our battle vs. the ATF this weekend:
The Sov task force lost Beta, Lambda, Kappa, Epsilon, Ra, Daleth, Sigma, Hey, Sin, Vav, Zayin, Kaph and Nun squadrons and 10 more fighters from Gamma.
Our remaining starfighter complement consist of Delta and Rho (T/Ds), Psi, Theta, Aleth, Cheth, Beth, Teth, Gimel, Yod (T/As), Koph, Alpha (MIS), Lamed, Samekh, Mem, Aylin (GUN), Pe, Shin, Sadhe, Zeta, Resh, Tav (T/I) and 2 T/Ds from Gamma.
Note: We have some other fighters that have been built during the wargame but they will not be listed here, for reasons of operational security.

Regarding capital ships: We're doing better on that score. Our fighter losses have been severe, but we have not lost any capital ships. We have destroyed numerous enemy capital ships, including the SSD Avenger, ISD Immortal and some frigates and corvettes.

Overall, we retain devastating firepower, and our forces have conquered SEVEN planets! This is allowing us to amass large amounts of resource points. We will put these points to effective use >:)

The wargame is now on the 19th of 30 turns. We are in the lead. The outcome of the game now probably will come down to whether the ASF -- at full strength because of no combat to this point -- can track down the Sov and attempt to deliver maximum damage on us. Also, remember, the ATF and ASF (and previously also the BGs) have an alliance against the Sov. So, it will be interesting.

-- Ship AWOL check. This has been completed, and most WCs have reported in. The desired result has been achieved, in that dead weight has been smoked out, and the ship is lean and mean again. The best news: Our numbers are climbing and activity is surging! Good job by WCs, CMDRs, FLs and FMs!

-- GN Ford has retired from the EH. Will Wing II ever be the same, with the departure of His Frodiousness and his mini minions? We shall see. Probably not. Wing II, stay tuned for an announcement soon on Ford's replacement.

SHIP COMPETITIONS

-- SSSD Sovereign Recruiting Competition
This is a competition to increase the membership of the SSSD Sovereign. There are three categories:
-- Recruitment Web page. Deadline for this segment was May 31. Thanks to the participants!
-- Recruitment campaign. Also over.
-- Total number of recruits. The top three individual recruiters (as reflected in actual pilots recruited and placed on the ship (MoIs) will be awarded Iron Stars. The top recruiting squadron and wing each will be designated "Commodore's Own" for one month and carry commensurate benefits in the ship's cantina.
Deadline: midnight June 30.

-- Sovereign Nighthawk Multiplayer Competition, each Friday night in #ehcoc on IRC, 3 to 6 p.m. eastern time

-- Omega Squadron is sponsoring a flight contest open to everyone on the Sovereign. GN Devin provides the details:
Competition is in two rounds.
First round: All pilots fly TIE-FCHG #2 and submit to GN Devin
(devin@omegasquadron.org) by June 21st. Top 10 pilots will advance to
2nd round.
Second round: Pilots will fly TIE-TC #19 and submit scores to GN Devin
by July 12th.
