ISDII Intrepid Report # 10 (2003-08-18)

This report was submitted by RA Frodo March

Rear Admiral Frodo March reporting for the ISD-II Intrepid on 08/18/03 #10

Commodore’s Opening Words

The bright green demon has now returned! Aye, welcome to another excellent ISD-II Intrepid report pilots! In this report I will cover news from the last 3 weeks that might have been neglected, but I doubt it will be much larger then usual.

I doubt it will be larger since Lieutenant Colonel Phantom has done some excellent work running the things from the flag’s side of the ship.  Overall I came back and had very little extra work to do to make everything passably how it was before I left.

The Activity comp is still on until the 26th Krayt Squadron currently leads it with a womping 1002 points! Diamondback is now in second!  Speaking of those two squadrons, Diamondback and Krayt both have the two highest citation totals in the fleet! Congradulations to both of yous;)
I’m happy to see that many new faces have appeared on the roster during my leave, certain being brand new, others slightly older.  Welcome aboard all of you!

Another thing about the activity comp, I have once again the control of the scores, so you may direct all questions and or “Spell checks” to me now, yet you still send graphics and fiction to both me and Phantom.  Might I add that very little fiction was written during this competition, there are two medals to give for that section, at this point, they’re easy medals! So write fiction ASAP!

LC Gidda has started a competition for the wing to take part in, he is searching for a new banner for Diamondback Squadron, so anybody who is willing to create this banner, he will be rewarded by an IS-SR! Send submissions to LC Gidda.

SSL Finals! Diamondback Squadron Vs. The ASF Flags! XvT TC 70 is the file, good luck Diamondbacks, Friday is the deadline.

CoL and MSE Recommendations are in…but there is no ops officer in office so it is impossible to receive medals at this time.  So all those of you that are awaiting on medals, ITS NOT MY FAULT >:P and its not your Commander’s fault, and its not the WC’s fault.  An Ops officer is probably going to be chosen real soon, so just show some patience;)

Emperor’s Hammer/Tie Corps News

TC 'Competition's Competition'
09:52 - AD Keldorn Cochrane [gmf@kweeky.net]
There has been a general decrease in the number of competitions submitted recently. To provide that little extra incentive I am sponsoring a small ‘Competition’s Competition’ open to all from Squadron Commander to Battlegroup Commander; the Officer who submits (and receives my approval) the most competitions within a period of one (1) month (18th August to 18 September) will receive the rare Iron Star Platinum Ribbon and a very large congratulatory pat-on-the-back from the Training Office.
These competitions should, however, be as inventive and interesting as I know you are all capable of creating.

Heroes Flag Winner chosen
18:01 - RA Darknyte [darknyte@alltel.net]
Greetings,
We've chosen the winners in the Heroes Flag Competition. We got many great submissions, but in the end we narrowed it down 2 that we're gonna use. Winners and rewards are as follows:
1st Place: CPT Tempest (IS-PR)
2nd Place: CPT Chris McCollum (IS-GR)
We'll get your awards handed out as soon as a new OPS officer comes along to take the reigns.

Operations Officer Open For Applications
18:57 - SA Astatine [jpboyce@indigo.net.au]

Selection Criteria - Desirable
1. Graphics and/or HTML ability.
2. Prior experience in a similar position.
You must address each criteria with supporting evidence. Simply saying "Yes, I can do that" will not be enough. Include specific examples of your experience. You must include at least three (3) references. At least one of these must be a former or current superior, preferably current. Finishing words

I dunno if you guys had a 24hr party while I was gone or something, but its time to get to work, after we finish up this summer comp we can start something a little different.  So keep your efforts constant, don’t overburn unless its what you want.

If anyone wants to know, I had a lot of fun at camp, and I learned some extra stuff, things that end up even being useful online.  It is however, good to be back home and with lady Intrepid.  So everyone fly!
