VANGUARD AND FLEET NEWS
(A TV played away to itself....yet again!)
Peviously on Sicky The Rebel Slayer!
COM SickMan and his faithful side-drunk WC Drax Remlinger were deep inside Rebel space to discover the secrets of the new Rebel brew, after discovering that the brew had no alcohol in it, Draxy shouted as Sicky was going to drink it.......god knows was this non-alcoholic beverage would do to the old boozehound.
"SICKY, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"
Then quickly the glass of beer Sicky was holding exploded as a blaster shot hit it, he quickly turned around and drew his own blaster
"Kyra? why did you do that? and what the hell are you doing here?"
Kyra, SickMan's personal HRD explained
"for one, that beer was non-alcoholic, also i'm programmed to protect you, i wasn't going to stay back on the shuttle and play Sabaac with that stupid droid, plus i thought i'd splice into the Rebel network while i was on a walk-about, found out some interesting things too"
"Non-Alcoholic? then why's it selling so well, whats in it that makes a person think he/she is drinking regular beer, somthing is not right here"
Before anyone could think the door of the tapcaf burst open, Rebel troops poured into the building and faced the 3 Imperials
"Well, well, well, we are honoured by a visit of a Vice Admiral, a Colonel and a rare HRD, can you explain your presence here in Rebel space?" The Rebel Commander asked
"I count 20 in total, give me the word and they shall cease exist" Kyra whispered in Sicky's ear
Sicky turned to Draxy and nodded with a grin and Draxy nodded back and said "lock and load"

What will happen next? is this the end of the 3 Imperials? now it's up to the members of the Vanguard, write to Sicky what you think will happen next, the best will be printed here next week and will be awarded a IS-BR too:)

EH Racing League

An announcement for Lieutenant Commander Rem Somnos:
Announcing the EH Racing League. On September 1st DarkFyre on #ehcoc will be able to handle XWA multi-player racing. Players will be able to participate in one on one to free for all heats. DarkFyre will of course handle the scoring.

WCs, and BGCOMs have the opportunity to create a graphics comp for the floating cup for their respective Wings and Battle groups. *hint hint*
Virus warning

If you have been receiving a lot of emails recently with "returned mail" in topic, then you can be infected with W32/Sobig-F virus. I have been infected myself, so if you have received any emails from pbmike@klub.chip.pl, ingore them and delete them right away (I never send from this addy).
I have visited Sophos website and they have simple cure. Download their latest patch and run C:\SOPHTEMP\RESOLVE.COM -DF=SOBIG.DAT -NOC (unzip patch to SOPHTEMP directory on C:. (win9x).

Open Commodore Positions

Vice Admiral Jahan Kalar has decided to retire as Commodore of the ISD Relentless. As with former ImmCOM, COL RogueWing, Kalar was a fine Flag Office who's presence will be missed.
This means that applications are now being accepted for two Commodore positions in the Battlegroups (Immortal & Relentless). Applicants should be able to meet the following requirements:
Good online presence - e-mail, MBs, and some IRC (particularly meetings if possible)
No HCI convictions within the past 12 months
A successful command history in the TIE Corps (to include a tour of at least two months as a Wing Commander or six consecutive
months as a Squadron Commander with two different Squadrons)
Ability to work with the entire Chain of Command
Excellent working knowledge of all EH & TC protocols and policies (including the Fleet Standing Orders)
Specific long and short term goals for your ship, Battlegroup and constructive contribution towards the TIE Corps as a whole
Technical skills (HTML, mission design etc) are beneficial but not mandatory
You may include up to two references, at least one from a current or former superior (obtain permission from these individuals first. No, you can't ask me or Krax). As a Commodore, it will be your task to look out for your ship's long term welfare including it's growth and activity. You will be required to work with the Wing Commander on an almost daily business handling ship affairs. A good COM can mean the difference between the ship's success or failure and is not a job to be entered into lightly.
Applications should be sent to High Admiral Priyum and Admiral Krax Tarnisar before Tuesday 2nd September and should have the subject "Rel/Imm COM Application".

Sovereign Squadron League Results!

The SSSD Sovereign Squadron League 2003 has concluded after several months of heavy competition and now it is time for the winners to celebrate their victories and collect their rewards. The champions are the elite Omega Squadron in the TIE and XWA divisions, and Diamondback Squadron in the XvT division. Many congratulations to General Sasquatch and Lieutenant Colonel Gidda and their pilots for registering these outstanding accomplishments. Also, thanks to all pilots of all TC ships who participated in this exciting competition. Finally, thanks to the tireless judges of the SSL, Lieutenant Colonels Todbringer and Gidda and Major Artyis, for their hard work throughout the event. WING XV COMPS
Wing XV August Competition
Thats right boys and girls its time for another big competition and its been two months since we have done much so heres what we are going to do. Many of you may have never heard of TOP DOG but our veterans are very familiar with it. It pits all of our squadrons against each other. Pilots accumulate points for almost everthing they do and the squadron with the most points at the end are declared the Vans Top Dog. Other than that it will be good for tons of medals in addition to monthly medals and hopefully it will jump start our somewhat poor activity levels lately. This is similar in rules to the Supremecy Comp which the Van had a decent showing this last time but which we have NEVER won. Its on, everybody participate and win a medal or three. Good Luck!!
