-To close up the month of September as the Month of Free Drinks, our own WC Major BubbaX was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Big congrats to LC BubbaX, and lots of thanks for buying the ship it's drinks until October! :)
-And now time to announce the first winner's of this month's awards. First off, it was announced in yesterday's WC report that the Pilot of the Month was LCM Tygra Shadowclaw! Congrats for that!
Now, it is my pleasure to announce that the Squadron of the Month for the month of September is Phantom Squadron! Phantom was led well by Tek for the first half of this month, and made a clean transition over to Boliv's command. This squadron not only produces significant activity, but also has good communication with each other and works quite well as a team, which has impressed me enough to give them this award. Both Captain Tek and LC Triji Boliv shall be awarded a IS-SW for commanding this squadron!
The Commodore's Protector for the upcoming month goes to LT Splot of Demon Squadron. Splot, though only a Lieutenant, ended up flying more than nearly all pilots on the Immortal as well as keeping good activity. He is a perfect example of the activity that I expect to see from all of you, and for that reason he shall be my protector for the next month, and will be awarded a IS-SR for obtaining this title!
-I've gotten some excellent submissions for the Squadron of the Month banner comp, and shall announce the winner (as well as bestow the banner to Phantom for the month of September) in next week's report. The comp doesn't offically end till Tuesday, so there's still time to get a entree in if you're still intrested in this comp! :)
-On a personal note, congrats to LC Triji Boliv for making the COM's day by not only crashing BubbaX in a "Beat the WC" match, but also by taking my IWATS - Eggdrop course :)
-Just a warning to all of you: the month of October will be the Month of Competitions. Bubba and I have been cooking up quite a few things to keep you guys busy, so be prepared for a *ton* of medal oppertunities during October for you guys to pick up :)
-On a final note, I've created a new section on the ISD Immortal homepage to store the meeting logs for our weekly ship meeting in #isd_immortal, occuring on Saturdays, 4pm EST.

Create a banner for new ship comp!: Well, I promised a banner for the Squadron of the Month competition... but I'm without one to use! Therefore, I'd like one of you to make me one that can be used to be awarded to a different squadron each month. A IS-SR will be awarded to the best entree, and a IS-BR shall be awarded to the runner-up. Deadline: October 1st
Commodore's Protector: Continuing in this competition, each month I will choose the pilot I feel has served the Immortal the best over the past month and bestow upon him the title of Commodore's Protector, which he will retain until the next month when I pass the title on to another. While the title may be used in any email and TC transactions for the month the pilot retains it, they will also be awarded a IS-SR for obtaining the title for that month. This Month's Winner: LT Splot
Squadron of the Month: Each month I will select a Squadron I believe has performed overall as a group (not a set of individuals) the best shall be awarded the title of Squadron of the Month. The CMDR of the Squadron of the Month shall be awarded a IS-SW for leading his squadron to that title, and the Squadron as a whole will be given a banner with their name and date of their accomplishment which may be posted on their website, as a reward to give them complete bragging rights for that month. This Month's Winner: Phantom Squadron
Bubba's Blashpemous Battle Bash: Pilots will fly XWA-TC 8 and try to attain the highest score possible. IS-SW to first place IS-BW to second. Deadline: September 30th
Beat the Wing Commander!: The Wing Commander of Wing XI has an open challenge to all of the Immortal. Any pilot who accepts will choose a free mission for any platform (except XW), or challenge the WC to an MP match on any platform. If the pilot beats the WC, he/she gets an IS-BW. Deadline: October 26th
Wing XI Pilot of the Month Comp: The pilot who flies the most, and is overall most active for each week will be awarded one point. The pilot with the most points for each month will receive an IS-SW. If there is a tie, both pilots will get an IS-SW. This will continue each month until January. This month's winner: LCM Tygra Shadow Claw
Wing XI Trivia: Every week, after the wing meeting, there will be trivia held. The pilot who wins the most weeks in a month wins an IS-SR. All others who win a week get IS-BRs.

Like I said before, we're going to have a lot of competitions going on October, and there will be tons of oppertunities to really collect on medals. But the only way you have a chance at collecting is to participate, so don't just ignore these comps, go out for them :) Both myself, Bubba, and your CMDRs push comps to encourage activity and give you something fun to do to really progress and enjoy the EH. And hey, having fun is the reason we're here in the first place, so go out for comps that intrest you and get your name out there; no reason that not every pilot on this ship can come away with something each month :)
