Commodore’s Opening Words
 
We were met by many pleasantries this week! Namely, a few competition medals, some nice activity, many new pilots! And the good end of Mission creation wars.  All this, and more will be covered in this 17th edition of the Intrepid weekly report.
 
Lets start with the best news shall we? This week 6 new pilots joined our ranks! Quite a magnificent number in such a short time.  Once again, please welcome: MAJ Delak Krennel, MAJ Devin Talaris, CPT Fishbone, SL Ramlosa, LT Kolec Vekyata, SL KramCola to the ISD-II Intrepid!
 
I’m pleased to announce that Colonel Gidda has received all the MSEs.  His MWE should be sent soon, and that means medals! Hurrah!
Speaking of medals…oh never mind, you’ll see in TC news :P
 
Anyhow, project shield has ended, meaning that there is a new Battle launcher that needs to be used to extract .ehm files into your gaming platforms.  So, download this launcher, and fly us some battles!
 
Speaking of battles, quite a few battles should be released soon, the TAC office has promised it, so keep your head up for some new material! Especially some new Frothy stuff :P
 
We still have two empty flight leader positions.  They need to be filled asap.  Viper Squadron Flight III, and Diamondback Squadron flight II are open for applications.  Apply to the CMDRs for them.
 
This week I made a new comp that ends on October 15th, so only 10 days left for it.  This competition requires you to write a plotline for a battle and send it to me.  The best plotline will get an IS-SR, and the oddest plotline will get an IS-BR.  Nobody has participated a of yet, and if I am met by no participation I won’t be very happy. TIE95 Fix For EHBL Users Running Windows 2000/XP

Because, without a fix, TIE95 don't run on XP ans 2K anyway it also doesn't when you install EHBL (even if you have already "fixed it").

Mission Creation Wars - Results

After many months, we have finaly came to the finals, where Frodo faced dynamic duo of Carl Lost and Viper. After testing the battles myself, and asking my CA, to do so, we have decided that, the winner and best battle designer of the Emperor's Hammer Mission Creation Wars is Rear Admiral Frodo, who is being awarded with the Gold Star of the Empire. Congratulations
 
Carl Lost and Viper, will both receive Silver Stars. Congrats guys.
Next MCW will start in 2004.

Ship Status
 
The ISD-II Intrepid stands currently at 45 members! Welcome aboard MAJ Delak Krennel, MAJ Devin Talaris, CPT Fishbone, SL KramCola, LT Kolec Vekyata and  SL Ramlosa.
 
I noticed we have a lot of SLs in the ship, so CMDRs make sure the following gets to your new pilots.
 
HOW TO GET PROMOTED TO LT:

1. Fly any official EH missions or battles at the EH mission compendium
2. Participate at any TO approved Squad/Wing/Ship/BG/Fleet comp!
3. Create an Imperial Navy Personal record (INPR) in your admin menu!
4. Create an official EH mission or battle (Can take a loooong time)
5. Helping your CMDR with the Squadron webpage, or creating one.
Those are the five main ways to get promoted to LT!

Hints and Tips from the Short Commodore!

Hints of the Week:

I flew MP This week…it was quite odd, I felt this sensation some people call: Winning :P Anyway, my point here, as the number one hint, if you fly MP in my ship, you will be adored and loved by all, and worshiped not too far in the distant future.  Fly some MP guys, it takes 10 minutes to fly a match, and you might get a LoC out of it, and that can only make your CMDR happy, and nothing bad can come of it.  Even if you loose constantly, its still fun, I lost countless matches before I started winning, and I still lose a lot…I mean A LOT.  Just remember, some MP days are better then others, and these days Avenger isn’t too big, so you don’t have to worry about having to fly elite’s if you need to fly MP.  I like the fact that people like Mach and Spade are always ready for a match, seeing that in young pilots really brings pride to me, pride that MP isn’t dead, and that activity, and the Intrepid will prevail.  So get out there, and fly a match!

Alright peeps, I think you guys should start participating at the ladders more.  And while you’re at it you might want to try and contact CPT Justin and send him a graphic you made, or a pic of yourself, I sent one, it took me like 10 seconds :P
 
Remember, MP is fun and easy, you even get points for loosing sometimes, so go participate at the ladders, fly somebody in Wing XIV today!
