Rear Admiral Frodo March reporting for the ISD-II Intrepid on 10/13/03 #18

Commodore’s Opening Words

Hi everybody! Well, I’m back from leave, yet again, and I’ve returned to a relatively unchanged ship, which is good in our case, since we already r0xx0r.  Cutos to COL Gidda on his good work while I was gone.

Speaking of ship numbers! We’re at a steady 43-44ishnessness level.  However, I sense that AWOLs, transfers, and more of that bad stuff is probably heading our way, so recruiting is still an excellent Idea! Remember, bringing in recruits, can get you a medal, on the spot, awarded by the Commodore.  Fun ain’t it?

I have received and approved the MWE, medals should be, or already have been awarded, some are still pending.

Cobra Squadron commander is still open for applications, write them up and send them to COL Gidda and CC myself.

We still have an FL spot open or two, any takers? FL is the funnest spot next to being a COM! :P

And another thing, the golden tug awards are on, that means that you guys can nominate any battle/free mission that was made in 2002 and it can get awarded a golden tug.  You can also nominate any mission creator that created in 2002, and he can get a golden tug! ;) So, e-mail the TAC and his CA soon! Not much time!

Other then that, I had fun at my family reunion… well, as much fun as you can have at a family reunion :S  Good news is, I came home with a new 2Pac album! ;)

Emperor’s Hammer/Tie Corps News

Wing Commander for Wing XI sought...
12:44 - FA Cyric [jroscoe@comcast.net]
With the promotion of RA BubbaX to the position of Relentless COM, I am now accepting applications for the position of Wing XI WC. All applications must be titled "Application for Wing XI WC" and should be sent to myself(
kevinsetzer@aol.com ) and AD Krak Tarnisar (krax_tarnisar@yahoo.com ) Below are the listed requirements.
Must have held a successful tour as a CMDR for at least 4 months
No HCI convictions ever for Conduct Unbecoming
Familiarity with XWA (TIE and XvT as well preferably)
Familiarity with the ISD Immortal Ship Standing Orders (found at the Immortal website)
Significant IRC prescence
Quick email and admin accountability
Desire, knowledge and responsibility of and for running internal competitions
A serious commitment to the quality of Wing XI, the Immortal, and to making it a productive, active environment while still promoting fun and enjoyment is a must!
More than anything, a desire to work as a team unit. I will not accept any applicant who has a history of soloing, pulling lone ranger tactics, or going over, around, or even surprising their superiors.
Applicants must provide 1 reference (who cannot be myself or Krax) who is willing to answer questions about yourself
All applicants must be willing (though only the top 2 or 3 applicants will be subjected to) an IRC interview.
Please also include ideas, goals, and what you believe you bring to this Wing that could take it to the top (as well as anything about yourself you think I'd like to know. Don't worry about length, if you've got a lot to say, that's fine, long as it's substantial.)
Tough requirements? Yes, but BubbaX was quite the excellent WC, and thus I'm used to working with the best without any problems, and that's how I'd like to keep it. Applications will no longer be accepted a week from when this post is placed on EH.net

New Relentless Commodore
11:16 - FA Cyric [jroscoe@comcast.net]
Due to RL issues, RA Phantom has stepped down as RELCOM and BubbaX has been promoted to RA and taken over the COM chair of the Relentless.

Correction
22:44 - AD Darknyte [darknyte@alltel.net]
I typed the link tag wrong in my last post, it's
http://o6.minos.net. While they may look the same, I accidently put a zero instead of the letter "o" in the actual link tag.

Obelisk Order 6th Anniversary
22:40 - AD Darknyte [darknyte@alltel.net]
I recieved this from MAA Khaen, and while it's not TC specific it is a major milestone in the EH and quite relevant to the club as a whole, so his email is as follows:
::BOW:: & SALUTE
Greetings, sirs and colleagues (whichever applies).
You may or may not be aware that today, the 9th of October, marks the 6th Anniversary of the Dark Brotherhood's Obelisk Order. It was officially opened on this day in 1997 by Obelisk High Commander Blazer, to coincide with the release of Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight.
To commemorate this event, I have put together a site with a brief look at the history of the order, a complete listing of all Obelisk High Commanders and GMRG Commanders of the Guard to date, and a selection of interesting files, documents, and images from the Order's long past.
The site is located at http://o6.minos.net. GA Ronin, you may want to post this link on the EH news center.
I hope you enjoy browsing through this 'museum display' as much as I did delving into the fascinating past of my Order. :P
Thanks.

The ISD-II Intrepid stands currently at 44 members Welcome aboard SL S 4patas to Krayt!!

I noticed we have a lot of SLs in the ship, so CMDRs make sure the following gets to your new pilots.

HOW TO GET PROMOTED TO LT:
1. Fly any official EH missions or battles at the EH mission compendium
2. Participate at any TO approved Squad/Wing/Ship/BG/Fleet comp!
3. Create an Imperial Navy Personal record (INPR) in your admin menu!
4. Create an official EH mission or battle (Can take a loooong time)
5. Helping your CMDR with the Squadron webpage, or creating one.
Those are the five main ways to get promoted to LT!

Quote of the week

BubbaX: I just submitted a XvT Free mission to the TAC :P
Frothy: Ick
Frothy: Stop trying to become me!!!!! :P

Hints and Tips from the Short Commodore!

Hints of the Week:

Don’t take in consideration anything else when you nominate a battle, then how much you liked it, and how well it is created.  And nominate the creator, you think is best, not who your bo$$es think is best.

Competitions

ISD Intrepid Battle plotline Competition: http://www.emperorshammer.net/competitions/details.asp?ID=972

Lets whip up a bit of activity in these, no?

Finishing words

Everybody DO SOMETHING! :P If everyone tries to have a bit of activity every week, which is donating something like 5 to 10 minutes minimum of your time and doing something for the ISD Intrepid, we’ll be really active, and when your active, its super fun.  Our veterans remember how fun it was kicking arse in the SCs, that’s what you guys should be feeling all the time, better then all the rest ;)
