Tactical Officer Resigns

Greetings,

It has been several months now my performance as Tactical Officer has been degraded due to a new time-consuming RL job; I guess time has also lessened my enthusiasm to assume the position, with nearly 20 months overall of service as Tactical Officer, and three years and half of full time positions within the Tactical Office. During all these prosperous years, I have participated and directed all the changes I was willing to be done within this office, changes which have transformed an office dependent of the TAC's personality into an organized structure where team work has become a key word. I am proud of what has become the Tactical Office, but I guess it is becoming time to see some fresh blood at the head of this office, assuming also the fact that I can hardly assume the associated work load with my current situation.

I had planned to resign in past September when my new job began, with the eh.net server problem I delayed this decision to wait for the database to be fully operational, to not bring additional mess to an already troubled situation. The BSF system and associated FTP services are nearly fully working, and I will leave my position of Tactical Officer as soon as everything is working, and as soon as you have selected the future Tactical Officer. I do not plan to leave the EH, I guess I will continue my career in a less time-demanding position, where my competences and expertise can help the EH...

TAC-PROF/HA Striker/CS-3/SSSD Sovereign

Wing News

-The results for the ECR phase 2 is out. We dropped to 3rd place behind the Challenge and the Relentless. However, we are only 10 points away from first place so we can still win!

-MAJ Auto has started an AWOL check for the wing. Everyone is to email him back so that he knows that all the email addy's on the roster are correct.

-The log for this last weeks meeting has been posted on the Immortal Message Board. Everyone keep in mind that weekly meetings are on Saturdays at 1:00 PM EST.

-The problem with the mailer system with the database is still not fixed. However, other than that the database is fully functional.

-LCM Kane Reese won the Wing Graphics competition. Congratulations go to him!

-COL Arso has rejoined us from the reserves. For those that don't know him, he was one of my very first squadron commanders and we are glad to have him back.

-If anyone has the game Homeworld and is willing to help me with some research, email me at roguewing25@yahoo.com and I'll let you know the details.

-We need more recruits. To this effect, I am offering a bounty of an ISM on any NEW recruit you get onto the Immortal. They will have to transfer from the Reserves, or from the Daedalus Platform. (DO NOT SPAM DAEDALUS!) I would suggest hanging out in the Zone in the XWA and XvT rooms....

Ship News

-Despite repeated attempts of convincing, CPT Loor still believes in his "personal cloaking shield". Therefore, if you happen to see any Ranger pilots walking naked down the hallways, there is NO need to call security. However, you may shut your eyes to keep from being blinded.

-CPT Gutt was found wandering up and down the halls of the Demon barracks carrying his things. When some personel in the hallways stopped to help him, he only responded, "I'm lost. Can you help me find my mommy?" He is currently undergoing observation in the Medlab on Deck 12.

-The mystery of the stolen pink paint has been partially resolved. CPT Brat Stone found his quarters had been painted bright pink yesterday after he returned from an escort mission. Security is looking into possible suspects.

Competitions

-ECR phase 3 is getting close to start. Because of the holidays it will probably begin next Monday. We are still trying to decide on which missions are to be used.

-The Top Gun competition will be continued this month. Basically, the pilot that wins the most MP matches will recieve an IS-SW. The runner-up will recieve an IS-BW. Also, you don't have to wait until official EH comps for this. You can set up your own quick skirmishes while on IRC and I will count those as well, as long as you send me the results of the win. Also, because the mailer system is down, IF YOU WON ANY EH SPONSORD MP MATCHES, EMAIL ME SO I CAN ADD THEM TO THE RECORD. I didn't get confirmation of any this month, but I know that many of you flew.

-The Immortal Tactical Scenario is due to me before Wednesdays.
