CMDR’s, be sure every pilot in your Squadron receives a copy of this report!

My second report as COM of the Intrepid and so far I haven’t hit anything in space! But flying an ISD is sure different from flying a T/I. LOL

The new VanCOM has been selected, so applications are no longer being accepted. I’ve heard through the TC grapevine that the new VanCOM will be announced at the TC Meeting on 11/10/02! As always I encourage everyone from Wing XIV to attend the weekly TC Meeting so that you’re up-to-date on all of the news and info within the Fleet! Besides, you can come witness my expert copy/paste skills when its my turn for news and info. ;)

I have completed the first round of medal requests, all of which were approved without a hitch! As the remaining MSE’s arrive from the CMDR’s for the compiled activity for AUG/SEP/OCT I will process those as well. Overall I hope to get enough medals distributed to show my appreciation to the crew of the Intrepid for the continued activity and dedication you showed even without an automated database to help process your activity. The ladies and gentlemen of the ISD-II Intrepid clearly deserve to pat each other on the back for a job well done during one of the quietest and slowest periods of activity for the TIE Corps! I’m very proud to have served as WC and now as COM of this great ship!! J

I have manually submitted a number of promotion requests to the FO for consideration! In the next week or so I plan to submit a few more, but according to the roster and the database they hadn’t reached the point where I could persuade the FO to allow them, even though these particular pilots have been outstanding during these past two months. Regulations are regulations after all. :P

CPT Linoge is spearheading an effort to create the first ever working ASF Recruiting Database and Info Center! CPT Drako is organizing the web engineering team and has asked that anyone interested in providing their web designing skills contact him to possibly join his team! This team will hopefully be comprised of pilots from all over the ASF, including Avenger Squadron if they wish to join in. Also, CPT Linoge has asked that anyone wishing to submit a short personal bio or encouraging statement about the ASF and/or their Ship do so as soon as possible so that he and CPT Drako can plan the final details of the design! CPT Linoge can be reached through linoge@wp.pl and CPT Drako can be reached through rswojc@poczta.wp.pl! VA Darksaber has already given his encouragement to this project, and he hopes that it will turn into a powerful recruiting tool for the ASF and will allow us to find a lot of new blood for our Ships! J

Currently the ISD-II Intrepid stands with a total of 55 pilots! This is down a few from last week, but after one AWOL, a transfer to the Reserves, and one pilot deciding to serve the ASF on the ISD Vanguard, we are now down to 55. The CMDR’s are on a mission to find yet more pilots, so I encourage everyone to join them in this effort! I’m still aware that at least one or two pilots are in the works to be transferred, so hopefully we’ll see these in our ranks very soon! In the meantime, feel free to post a topic or message on the EH Recruiting MB (http://www.ehnet.org/mb/viewforum.php?f=62). Also remember that contacting the CT’s is permissible, but only as long as you do not SPAM them, and that you are providing assistance to their training. Lastly, keep in mind that there may be some members of the RSV’s interested in returning to active duty and a simple email of encouragement could be all that is needed to bring them to us! Pilots of the ISD Intrepid, remember what our ultimate goal is, and only with everyone’s help can we hope to reach it!! J

To view it, you need the DivX 5.02 codec which you can obtain at http://www.divx.com. The trailer is available at http://hawkeye.ehnet.org/. A big thanks to Leeson for working so hard to make the trailer a reality! Enjoy!

Ship Competitions
_________________________________________________

ISD-II Intrepid XvT MP Double Elimination Competition! – The rules are simple. The competition starts at the Squadron level where all registered pilots will compete against their fellow pilots in a series of double elimination rounds until only one remains standing as the Top Gun Squadron Pilot! Then the Top Squadron Pilots, one from each Squadron, will then face off in a series of double elimination rounds until only one remains stading, the ISD Intrepid Top Gun Pilot! Awards for the competition are listed below:

Iron Star w/Silver Wings - ISD Intrepid Top Gun Pilot
Iron Star w/ Bronze Wings – Individual Squadron Top Gun Pilot (6 total medals)

The competition and medals have yet to be approved, but I have no reasons to assume it wouldn’t. What I do need however are the lists from each Squadron listing which pilots have volunteered to compete. Since it seems that my earlier message to the CMDR’s didn’t get spread around in a timely manner like I asked, I will give everyone until 11/13/02 to contact their CMDR if they wish to participate. CMDR’s, I expect the lists on my desk no later than 11/15/02. Since we are a MP Ship I see no reason why I shouldn’t receive a list from every Squadron with at least two pilots participating. CMDR’s, it falls on you to get your pilots excited to be involved in this competition. This is the first of its type on the Intrepid since I joined last year, so it should be exciting! J
